Answering this in case it's an issue for others. When I launch the game, I get the music, the cursor and a blank screen. At that time, I pressed "CMD-F" to get it out of full screen. The graphics then show up. I then go into options and change it to the maximum settings that I could choose. Then when I go back into full screen the screen is still there.
