If memory serves, on my playthrough at least, the only way to get the cape was to give her money to help her escape. All other resolutions ended without the cape. Are you saying you didn't get the cape even when you gave her money?
There are supposed to be two ways to get the cape.
Both options for helping her escape the law should grant the same reward.
And yes, the money option had the same result. She only gave me a potion of power, no Cape.

I reinstalled the game and began a new game a few days ago and the first visitor I got after repairing the main Keep was Nyry The Deft Hand.
I helped her escape to see what I would get out of it and the only thing she gave me was a Potion of Power.
I went to Defiance Bay and finished A Two Story Job to unlock the option of getting help from House Doemenel thinking this could help, but even then it was the same. She didn't give me the Cape.I was frustrated and there was no time unlock the option of turning her over to the Crucible Knights anymore so I just convinced her to turn herself in and got the lousy 1 prestige bonus instead.
Unfortunately I don't have the savegame file to show it. -
I've Just realized that I posted in the wrong forum it seems. Will replicate in the proper one.

Dominate them back over to your side.
Which is a great trick, but really shouldn't be the only way to deal with the issue.
Why? Its simple, effective and its a direct counter move to respond to the problem after the fact, by what standards are you claiming that its not enough?
-
The counter for charm/domination is simple, you just need to charm your charmed party member

Not sure if it helps or not but i went through the same thing, but instead of going back to get a perception buff, i searched the area and found a diary, this diary told me something and i talked about it with the quest giver who then directed me to a resolution. I assumed that whatever the perception check was about, amounted to the same result so i didn't even bothered passing the perception check again...

After i loaded the game with it turned off and turned it on, it went back to being its proper Size.

Here are the tests i had done previously with my aura at different Intellect values using Crucible of the Soul for comparison.
Intellect 3.
Intellect 10
Intellect 25 -
Here is the current size of my aura
After this I kept the character in the same position and changed my Intellect to 1 to test if it would become smaller, but apparently it is still covering the whole map. -
I would expect for it to have the specified size.
Apparently the aura changes its size wildly at different times for seemingly no reason at all.
I've seen it become smaller, as i originally posted, but since then i saw it become twice its supposed size and currently its so big that it fills the entire map -

okay, this time with locked framerate
Base
AT 52
REC 74
REL 98
Only Chant (Rec x1.2, REL x2)
AT 52
REC 60 -> 74*(1-0.2)=59.2
REL 51 = 98*(1-0.5)=49
Only Armor (Rec -50%)
AT 52
Rec 112 -> 74*(1+0.5)=111
Rel 98
Only Dex (AT, REC, REL 24%)
AT 44 -> 52*(1-0.24)=39.52 <- wrong
REC 60 <- 74*(1-0.24)=56.24 <- wrong
REL 81 <- 98*(1-0.24)=74.48 <- wrong
Only Pen Shot (Rec -20%)
AT 52
REC 89 -> 74*(1+0.2)=88.8
REL 98
ALL
AT 44 -> 52*(1-0.24)=39.52 <- wrong
REC 90 -> 74*(1-0.24+0.2+0.5-0.2)=93.24 <- wrong
REL 43 -> 98*(1-0.5-0.24)=25.48 <- wrong, maybe multiplicative stacking?
Any suggestions?
The only way this can make any sense is if Dex isn't truly giving a 3% bonus to attack speed, but only a 2% bonus instead. This would mean a 16% instead of a 24%. This can be happening because originally, Dex was meant to increase IAS by only 2%.
EDIT: Ooops, i was following the thread until a few days ago and didn't realize it had progressed far beyond this point being raised.

Maybe that explains when the Bandit leader in Black Meadow managed to take down my wizard with a special melee attack from half a screen away

I just realized that the Aura Area is Half of what it should be!
Comparing it to Crucible of the soul, which should be half of the Aura size, it has the same range.
I tested it with different Intelect scores and the range is consistent with that assessment
This effectively means that my paladin with Intellect 3 has to be standing inside someones green circle to share the aura, even an inch away from that position will not be enough to share it.
When i built this character i knew my aura areas would be smaller and i was even prepared to put up with lower durations from other effects, but i figured that 1.5m would be the distance that reach weapons will cover, and it should be more than enough to support people fighting side by side, but apparently instead of a 1.5m aura i got stuck with a 1.5cm aura
PS: I tried to post pictures but the upload failed every time, they were around 150kb and .jpg so i don`t know what happened. -
I just leveled and got a talent to add Crits to my Zealous Aura and this appears to have fixed it for me.

I am having this problem too! My Zealous Focus Aura only affects my paladin and even after increasing intellect to 100 it still doesn't do anything to my allies
-
My Paladin Aura seems to have stopped working properly very soon after i acquired the ability.
At first i thought it had something to do with the fact that she has only Intellect 3 and the area is supposedly very small to begin with, but then i realized that even at 1.5m - 1.7m it should still work with adjacent characters, but it isnt.
I then used the Console Command to give myself 100 Intellect and confirmed that the size of the area has nothing to do with it, the aura is just not affecting any companions at all.How do i fix this?
Supply and Demand - No Doemenel option with Maea
in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Posted
I reinstalled and started playing a few days ago and got to the quest "Supply and Demand"
I don't remember if I already had a good reputation with the Doemenels when I started this quest, but I sure had it by the time I went talk to the thugs in the locked house and then went back to Maea to try and get her to lower prices.
She told me about the possibility of getting a discount from the Doemenels but there was selectable conversation option to tell her i'd do it. Going to Bricanta Doemenel doesn't help either since there is also no option to talk about the Salty Mast.
The only options I have to finish the quest now require 17 or 18 Intelligence or 16 Resolve, and I wouldn't want to use those either.
