  1. I read the thread. I just thought you needed to hear it again since you have been ignoring it for so long. But here's something I don't think anybody has said yet... You're Insane, get help. Nobody who thinks like you do can get any kind of enjoyment out of life. I shudder to think about your optimal solution to relationships.  There needs to be a balance between what is optimal and what is fun. Balance is key in all things. And I'm not talking about refusing to use the Master Sword because it's too O.P. I for one, look for optimization as well, but I will not stray outside the realm of what is fun for me. Supposedly Gnar is a really OP champ right now, but I don't play him because he is an annoying as hell yortle furry retard. If I was a pro-player I would choose him in a heart beat, but I'm not.

  2. I'm pretty sure Waterd is just a computer. He doesn't think, he calculates. He is an unfeeling machine designed to conquer all video games of the world in the most boring, joyless manner possible. Seriously dude. You sound like you try everything in your power to avoid having fun with any kind of game, so what do you want from us? As for your whole "It´s optimal to minimize the risk by grinding easy enemies." thing, wtf. If you are actually willing to grind for hours and hours on the same map just to make the next map a little easier, then maybe the only way you can have fun is to waste your life with pointless crap. All games have things that can be exploited, but you're missing one major thing here...what is optimal is whatever maximizes your enjoyment of a game and minimizes the time spent doing **** you don't wanna do. Optimal means maximizing gain and minimizing loss. The most valuable resource you have is time. Money is the 2nd most valuable. So if you are willing to spend 100+ hours grinding the same easy enemies so that a video game is a bit easier, then you have wasted so much time which could have been spent making money, you're losing the game of life. Seriously, if you're willing to spend that much time doing mindless repetitive things that you don't enjoy, then why don't you get a second job at a factory or something?

Even if you ignore what you're losing from reality, if you play a game like that you're not playing optimally either. Does time not factor into your method for optimally beating a game? If it takes you 50 times longer to beat a game than it should due to your grinding, then you have still lost. There's eventually a point where you're just screwing yourself over with that method.

  3. "If the designer tell me those 4 games are fun, because he designed them to be fun, then sure i will play any of them."

So you can only have fun with something if you have been told by someone else that it is fun?

Waterd...I think everyone has been way too nice to you. it's nobody's job to make a game to satisfy you personally. a game has to be made for a general audience, not tailor made to suit every random person on the planet. if you like the game for the most part but some minor feature annoys you, change that feature yourself. stop whining and learn how to mod. or wait for someone else to mod it. If you hate rtwp so much, then turn on the "auto-pause at end of round" option that this game will likely have, and just pretend you're playing a turn-based game.  I absolutely loathe the way most of these races look, but it's not going to stop me from getting the game. If it bugs me enough I will mod it myself. I will not bug the developers to remake the game to suit my own personal tastes.  Why are you hating on rtwp so much anyway? If it is as big of an issue for you as it seems to be, just don't play buy the game. I don't see what arguing with people is going to accomplish. The rest of us are fine with rtwp or else we wouldn't care about this game. Telling to us about how crappy you think it is seems kind of pointless.

  4. Didn't like the combat. Both sides just meet up in a big group for a huge cluster****. Non human races look ridiculous, especially the godlings. Just human bodies with goofy heads stuck on them. dwarf is a human squished up a bit. several fights could be solved with just two characters while the other 4 just watched. I really hope the game can be played with just 3 guys, because managing six characters is terrible. Hopefully there will be cash dropping like crazy because with only a few inventory slots for each character, picking up and selling loot is not much of an option.  The beta wasn't fun in the slightest. I had high hopes for this game, but they were all dashed to hell after a few minutes in the beta. Beta isn't even the right term for it, tech demo is more accurate. It just kind of shows off a few features of the game.  I started in some random town with random ass characters. It did not make me care at all. It was just a chore to play through. I know the actual game won't feel this way, but the beta fails miserably to get me more excited about the game.

What the hell are these guys doing? I see too many updates about stupid crap like art assets. Nobody cares how good you are at drawing derpy little gnome guys! I am not going to buy this game. I'll get a pirated version on release. It if really wows me, really blows me away, I will buy it. I have been sold too many crappy games to take a chance on projects like this anymore. I would encourage you guys to be more careful with your money.  All kickstarter games I have bought turned out to be about 10% of what was promised. All mediocre games at best. Don't be fooled by this one, too. I really hope it turns out good, but I'm not betting with my wallet on this one.

  5. All this sounds great. I've been following Shadowrun Returns also, another kickstarter project, and already this one seems more promising.  SRR is starting to disappoint me a bit honestly.  Also, when will you be doing beta-testing? I'm sure it will be a long way off, but I really want to be a part of it. I've never played a beta before, and I can't play this game soon enough.  Hopefully beta is not open only to backers, but that may be the case, idk.

  6. I hope this game will be awesome.  I've loved the Witcher ever since I got the first one a few years ago.  Didn't like the combat as much in the sequal, mainly because they took out combat styles.  I did, however, like the new talent system.  I hope Witcher 3 is the best of the previous two games, with the same attention to detail of the stories, as well as skyrim's open world.  I am very optimistic about this game, hope it rocks!

  7. I like the direction this pantheon is going.  It has a very "greek" feel to it, I like that.  Gods are not the extreme examples of good or evil upon which the morality of mortals is based, like in D&D.  But that makes me wonder about how alignment affects paladins, if alignment even exists in this game.  I like the idea of a paladin adhering to a strict moral code, that's the main thing that makes them hard to play.  Stray from the path and you lose all your cool powers and become a lame fighter.  In Baldur's Gate that mechanic was represented in kind of a lame way.  If your rep drops too low you become a fallen paladin, even if the "innocent" you killed attacked you first.  I'm interested to see how morality or alignment affects the paladins in PE.  Hopefully they are not a morally ambiguous as the gods.  I really don't want to play a paladin that slays dragons and rescues princesses one day, then strangles people for breaking promises the next day.

  8. I do not want to see armor deterioration of any kind.  I hate games where you have to repair your gear.  It's like paying rent.  I already paid real money to buy the game, now I have to pay game-money to repair my gear and continue playing.  It may be more realistic, but this is a game, reality sucks.  As for weapon swapping, how about we take a lesson from Icewind Dale II.  You have four weapon sets and you can switch between them in combat.  Those are the only weapons you can access in a fight.  Maybe fighters and similar classes have more weapon sets than others.  I kinda like the "top of the pack" idea for gear storing and access, but what about bags of holding?  You can immediately grab any item you're thinking about as long as you know it's in there (at least that's how we handled them in my DnD games).  I don't think there should be any armor swapping in combat, baldur's gate had that right, but rings and belts and such should be swappable.  No boot-swapping, that would be dumb.  WHat about gear summoning like in Oblivion.  You could create a spell to summon a full set of armor and a weapon.  I would love to see a spell creating system in PE, at least in some small way.  Like maybe just altering existing spells, like making a fireball deal cold damage, or making it a touch spell, or have it centered on the caster without hurting him, stuff like that.  And lastly, maybe it's just me, but I care A LOT about the look of a game.  I want cool combat animations, even coller animations for critical hits (like in TOEE)  I want customizable gear like you could make with the Neverwinter Nights toolset.  I want cool and unique animations for every power, special ability, and spell.  Maybe not unique animations for every single spell, but at least different ones for touch spells than ranged spells.  I want to see the caster shaking as the power rushes through him like Guild Wars, I want to see heads flying off like Vampire: Redemption.  I could keep going, but I think I've said more than enough.
