  1. I dont know bout Karkarov but I fought a dragon. The easiest way to kill such is with a long spear or halberd and targeting the belly as it swoops down on ya. You need a shield also to protect urself from fire. The best way to kill a dragon though is with harpoons. You have to think a strategy how to catch such a beast. THe easiest way is to circle it as it is asleep. Then you just shoot from all sides and hold the lines allowing someone to strike his heart with a long spear. Dream If you want to kill a dragon just visit the lodge of the dragon hunters up in Canada they will show you some of the beasts.

  2. I know they are pegging Rangers for the ranged attack specialists, but I think it would be interesting to also give them the option to be shapeshifting fighters as well.

No. I hope there will be no shapeshifting and stupid stuff like that what u can see in DnD. DnD is the least making sense fantasy setting in the World IMHO I prefer Westers or Adventuria much much much much more than Faerun which has only a cool name of the continent.

  3. I dont like the class ranger in DnD ... I mean animal companions like bears ? Cmon gimme a break. Dual weilding ? Useless, as cool as it looks its just not practical to use two swords at once. Rangers shouldnt wear any armor at all.

I would love to see ranger made more realistic. DnD isnt really a good example from which u should take ur inspiration from. I personally recommend you to take a look at The Dark Eye which is IMHO superior to DnD.

  4. I hate to much variety. I love the classics. First of all I love animals in the woods like deer, moose, bears, fox, wolves and so on. They should behave like animals too, hunt eachother eat plants and deer should run away quickly. Wolves and bears should not attack at once they should roar and growl and suddenly jump on you. That would be awesome. If it goes for undead I dont want to see flaming skeleton warrior of vengeance and stuff like that :| this is always pretty stupid. Skeletons should have a variety of armors and weapons which are of course worn and rusted but still. Well. I dont like to much variety because in our world we dont have to much variety either ( in one region ofc ) I dont like to have my immersion destroyed by greater flaming poisonous basilisk of vengeance if you know what I mean. I prefer to make the creatures more detailed each one with their own original behaviour and habitat instead of just making random monster and throw them at you.

  5. I like the Amauan warrior. I find it cool where as the wizard looks really dumb. He should be looking more savage.

Actually I would love to see the Amauan look more like the savages from the 13th Warrior !

    LET DEM BE KILLIN !

and the orlans... I HOPE they will not look like ferengi.

Maybe they could look like that ;D !

Isnt that awesome looking ? Yoda with human skin and a robe ? A fantastic example of Orlan wizards.

  6. Im just playing BG and I walk into every house because I think there might be interesting encounters or quests which is pretty darn unrealistic. Who in Moradins name would walk froom door to door and look into someones house.

Therefore there should be a knocking mechanic. You knock on the door someone is answering.

    - Hello, who is this ?

-We are mercenaries have you any job for us ?

    - NOPE GO AWAY

    Done.

At night it should take loooonger to answer and ppl should be mad that you are knocking. They wont open.

If you wanna play a thief than you just knock and if no one answers u go in and at night u just go in.

    Wouldnt that be cool ?

  7. I would rather have a normal character, boring, average looking, with no ambitions, and he likes to drink. I have enough that my team conists of odd indivduals who have an AMAZING past that u wouldnt even dream off ! Minsc was cool but do we really want a character who talks to vermin and acts all kinda of herp derp ? HODOR ?! No thanks. I want a cool normal guy who works for his money being a mercenary.

  8. Sacred had something like that. Check it out and I thought Sacred had more detail than the infinity engine. http://sacred.gamegu.../full_map_2.jpg

Sadly Sacred is only a H&S so I think it would be impossible to maintain Ai of the npcs and so on. In sacred they were just roaming the streets

Sacreds quests and monsters were random, or at least felt that way. It was big with lots of stuff, but it still felt empty. Maybe thats just my opinion though.

No,no ur totally right. Sacred was visually Awesome but it was booooring :(

  9. The story is really simple. A mighty wizard summons a Demon but fails demon wants to destroy the world. END. Not really to much cool quests. Its more like diablo for sure but the world of the game is really cool. The dragon look awesome and goblins and orcs and giants ( which are the most fun to kill because when they fell down there is such a cool loud echo ). Sadly u cant create ur own character you have to pick 1 from 8 archetypes. Well the difference between Sacred and diablo is Sacred has a really cool open world with many dungeons which dont load because all of them are part of the map,Huge cities,Huge monsters like dragons and mounts. For those who love to explore go for it its worth. I couldnt finnish the game myself because I hate h&s :/.

  10. In many rpgs I saw a very big problem in the size of an indoor house ( mostly in neverwinter nights 2 ). As I walked the street with my group I saw a little tavern and I walked in, only to see the Inn is actually PRETTY HUGE inside and by huge I mean really huuuuuge. I like how Bethesda solves this with TES. They just take the outdoor model of the house and on the base of this model they make the interior. Huge interiors really destroy my immersion ;/. If I remember good in Baldur's gate this problem didnt exist or it didnt really made that difference. What do you think folks ?

  11. I actually began my adventure AGAIN with Bg yesterday and I have to say I am not bored NOT AT ALL. Its great and I love the game. Some things about the game are annoying like the really infantile. They dont have the depth of the DA:O dialogs and not so many choices but the game feeling is awesome. I tried to play BG again without the EE and failed because of the dated UI and so the new one is actually pretty much the same but thanks to the resolution it is appealing, I still think P:E will beat the crap out of the BG series !

  12. I'm pirating games constantly. REALLY. Mainly because developers are screwing us really hard. I bought AC3 for my birthday and what ? Its buggy as hell and has a terrible optimization. I nearly bought RAGE. RAGE is boring, linear and has a terrible optimization. That doesnt mean I download every game and dont buy it even if I enjoy it, no. I have NWN2 with all expansions, Witcher 1 and 2, and Drakensang and all Infinity games and many many more. But I wont, I WONT buy a game that is garbage. And to many developers have screwed me. P:E I will ofc buy without testing because this is one of the games which I KNOW I wont regret like with both of the Witchers and Skyrim.

  13. I like Gods which show the what the people need. I always think of them as non existent and only roleplay that they exist ( in my setting they dont exist but ppl believe in them ).

Gods that I created are : Zagat - the god of death, but in a good manner, hes helping the dead go to the other site and reancarnate. Golthyr = Poseidon,Dana the goddes of marriages love but also crop and weath and everything what is associated with farming, Doron=Ares, Iona the goddes of medicine and herbs( in my setting only Ionas priests are healers ),Asgon=Artemis but male,Huron=Hephaestus,Baltar the God of wisdom and books and poems and so on,Orum the god of Money and everything what is associated with it,Hyronar the god of all gods but also the god of justice and the killer of mages ( in his name templars and murdering all mages in the world of Moroin ) and last Baragul the false God. The most dont believe in him but he has some servants. Some mages which make rituals for him and kill ppl , and criminals but they only believe in him cause they dont have anyone else and they dont show theyre faith too much.

  14. Divine divinity is one of the best action rpgs( if not THE BEST ) i've ever played. AND I HATE Action rpgs. But DD I loved :D it has so much in it. So much cool story. It isnt really deep but it is surprising. The sidequests however kick-ass ! Love them. The world is cool too ! And it is challenging it isnt easy. I have to admit that DD is one of the best games I've played. Beyond divinity and divinity 2 sucks ;/ REALLY BAD. Beyond divinity sets u in a corridor and u have to walk it through it is boring and not entertaining AT ALL. Divinity 2 was good at the beginning and then smack in the face. Exploration suddenly just stops and you walk in dungeons and fly as dragon, which sounds fun, right ? RIGHT ? NOOOO ! The idea of the game was to be a dragon. The name of the game is EGO DRACONIS and you dont feel like a dragon at all... I wait for the new game of Larian studios which can be actually pretty fun :D
