Well look what the cat dragged in! How have you been Tsuga. It’s been a long time.
How I've been is busy--new job, new (slightly used, < 11K miles) truck, no time for gaming to speak of as it's a backup for when the weather is too unfriendly. Finances are better than they've been in a decade. I've had several Twitter accounts suspended permanently for speaking my mind regarding a number of issues, so I'm not mellowing with age. I'm on the socio-economic Right because that's who I am and history has proven the futility of liberalism/progressivism. Signing off now before I segue into something that'll get this account locked, too.
Good to see that plenty of familiar names are still around.

Very true. Proper conservatives aren't whores for the Chamber of Commerce (CoC). Those doing the bidding of the CoC to the detriment of the nation are corporatists with a good number of RINOs, Republicans-In-Name-Only, thrown into the mix. RINOs are most often socially liberal while purporting to be far more conservative and traditional when it comes to economic issues.

To interpret the law as written, yes. It is not within its Constitutional purview to re-write the law or read into the law things that are not there to begin with. The SCOTUS has, once again, exceeded its Constitutional authority.

It's not a matter of trust but practicality. I'm 100% sure that no one will be busting down your doors to seize your guns.
Taxes on firearms & ammunition, magazine limitations, model bans, storage requirements, licensing requirements, action limitations, and a rogue BATFE: all these and more have been utilized or attempted by the Ruling Class hoplophobes at one time or another and will undoubtedly be tried again in coming years. We'll keep our rights to the extent that we remain vigilant.

It won't because it isn't going to happen. So don't worry about it. Some politicians are dumb enough to suggest it in brief moments of stupidity, but none of them are insane enough to try something like that.
Never underestimate the arrogance and malfeasance of professional politicians and bureaucrats. Prezbident Obongo himself has openly declared his contempt for our founding documents and considers them roadblocks and obstacles to be overcome. Ruth "Buzzy" Ginsberg and others on the Supreme Court have expressed similar sentiments. They're nothing but Ruling Class vermin and are not to be trusted.

True enough. It was about mouthy fools complaining that parents taking seriously the responsibility of raising their children, a positive trait from an evolutionary standpoint, were giving their children an "unfair advantage" over those whose parents chose not to so invest themselves in child rearing. Indifferent parenting begets indifferent results, SJWs--deal with it! Sheesh...

Although the term SJW is relatively new to me, the phenomenon of promoting mediocrity lest the left side of the intellectual bell curve fall too far behind and suffer irreparable harm to their "self-esteem" has been with us since the '90s. It's appalling and serves no good purpose, period.

No, let's declare that the nation founded by MY ancestors is sovereign and we're through being the safety valve for all the grossly mismanaged nations of the world. To wit:
Invite the Third World in mass and we de facto become the Third World with all of its violence and social pathologies. Let's not become Teddy Roosevelt's tangle of squabbling nationalities.
More convoys/caravans are forming in Central America. Allowing any of these invaders into the USA will only encourage more of them to attempt the same gambit. Shut them down as hard as necessary to make of them an object lesson: you're not getting in, so you'll have to fix your own nations as best you may.
