    New member reporting for duty. PolloDiablo is my name on many adventuregame-related forums, and it used to be my name on Kickstarter too, but I had to remove it in order to display the Obsidian Order membership So now I'm Astrid OotG Obisidian Order Devil Hen (the OotG bit is from a similar 'backers pledging a little extra'- club for Broken Sword 5). The first game I played (way back when) was Monkey Island, and after playing just about every adventure game I could find, someone suggested I play Planescape: Torment next. That went down very well, so next up were Baldur's Gate, Fallout, Neverwinter Nights, Arcanum, Icewind Dale etc etc, and I've had two favourite genres since then. Unfortunately, both have become somewhat niche, but thanks to Kickstarter there's a lot to look forward too in the next few years.
