  1. What is the ghosting and other stuff, anyway?

...ghosting, blurring, etc. takes place on most LCD screens while watching movies, playing fast-paced games (FPS' mostly), etc...basically, it jus' be the screen catchin' up ta the action on screen, so a li'l blurrin' or shadowin' be visible...in order ta curb this, the higher-end models usually 'ave a response time at or under 16 ms bwb (black-white-black) (DO NOT be fooled by an 8 ms grey-to-grey response time, as it usually means around 20 ms bwb)...jus' look it up fer a more in-depth description, as ya knows I's rather lazy when it comes ta stuff google-available... :p

  2. ...dear Gods; much more slobberin' o'er Unca Feargie an' he's'll be bound ta git a swelled head on 'im like Gaider's, an' noone 'ere wants that, does they???...next, we's'll all 'ave ta refer ta any Obsidz successes as "Feargie-esque" (anyone around on the BIOweenian Boards fer the whole Gaideresque bs knows what I's means)...too much arse-kissin' be a bad thing, kiddies... :)

...oh, an DIA-blows certainly ain't no RPG...PERIOD...Feargie had a bit too much o' the peace pipe in that interview, methinks... :D

  3. ...I's thinkin' o' cancellin' me order fer the ViewSonic VP930B I hasn't recieved yet (been a month, fer shyte sake's an' still nuthin'...bastages) an' savin' up a bit more quid fer a Samsung 214T (Black)...looks rather yummy, it does...either that or the ViewSonic 2130B (Black)...decisions, decisions... :D

  4. Dells good, what the hell you talking about?  ;)

Right, just because their entry level comps are sh*t doesn't mean their high end ones are. Plus they are going to be the first to have quad sli.

...not ta be a killjoy 'ere at the Dell lovefest, but they're shyte...cheap-arse generic psu's, cheap-arse mobos, cheap-arse drives, an' cheap-arse generic RAM...yer jus' payin' fer the name (an' big bucks fer the higher-end models)...yer waaaay better off buildin' yer own if'n ya knows yer way around a computer, since I's'd be willin' ta bet more than half o' the kiddies on the Dell payroll who answer the damnable phone when ya call 'em 'ave ta remove they's head from theys arses ta answer the call... <_<

  8. 1. Combat is alreayd an intregal part  of the game. It's a myth to state otherwise.

...'parently ye has a really hard time readin as well as spellin', so I's'll remind ya that the word "more" was in front o' integral fer a reason...Combat sells, addin' a wee more o' it ta a remade PS:T would help it git over wit' the general PC gamin' populus... <_<

    2. You can still tell the story of PST, and give the same amount of role-playing options and depth and count down the writing.. Though the amount of wriitng never bothered me though it's obvious that some of it was added just to pad the number of words...

...methinks insomniac was onta sumthin' wit' more cut scenes, voice o'ers, etc...save the kiddies from poppin' a blood vessel actually readin'... :ermm:

  9. ...funny thing 'ere be that, if done correctly, the bugger would sell; mebbe not in DIA-blows numbers, but she would sell, an' sell well imho...but two big things'd 'ave ta be done in retoolin' her first:

    1. Make combat a more integral part o' the game.

    2. Cut the dialogue in half (unfortunately). Otherwise, this new generation o' gamers won't touch it.

  10. rare is it that Gromnir is genuinely surprised when reading message boards for games... but for not a single person on the Obsidian boards to be advocating ravel puzzlewell is disturbing and unexpected.

    oh well.

    HA! Good Fun!

...honestly was thinkin' hard on it, but I's always felt that Ravel was left, well, undone...jus' wasna fleshed out enuff...might not be a popular opinion, but methinks TTO was the portrayed better... :ermm:

  11. ...if you do decide to go wit' the LCD, Di, dunna e'en look at one wit' less than an 8 ms gtg & 20 ms bwb response time (preferably a 16 ms bwb response time or lower)...

    ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!...

  12. ...one thing e'en good gamin' (low response time) LCD monitors ain't good fer is playin' games at non-native resolutions; the native resolution fer most 17" & 19" LCDs bein' 1280x1024...a big thing ta ponder upon if'n yer still givin' yer ol' classics theys play e'er once in awhile (hence the reason I got the 19" ViewSonic G90fB crt; I couldna bring meself ta 'ave a monitor that wouldna gimme the best outta me ol' IE classics)...

  13. Oops, seems I missed the original reference...

Yikes, that does kinda suck forcing people to start as Neutral PST style.

Of course.. I tend to be neutral so it's no big deal for me.

...not really, it don't...ye dunna know the situation yer in startin' out the "adventure", so o' course ye has no opinion on a course o' action yet (neutrality at it's most basic)... ya goes from there whether yer gonna be a "goodie two-shoes" or a "rotten pig-sticker" or jus' "sit on the fence"...
