I love the buggies but do miss the ziplines, there was something super satisfying about zipping across map and getting to take in the environment, and with how gorgeous the park looks I imagine would be just as magical in the sequel. It would be great if it could be used alongside the other traversal features to give players choice in how they play (buggies, I imagine fast-travel is coming with the tubes seen in some ranger stations like the one in spawn and near burgl)
Not to go too sims but maybe an upgraded version of the omni-tool variants could allow you to permanently manipulate the terrain making building bases a bit easier, by removing plants, rocks, evening out gradient etc, not too sure how hard this would be to code and stabilize, but would be such a quality of life improvement as it can be annoying to work hard on a based only hit an obstruction error or for plants to randomly appear in the middle of the structure.
I would love to see the following bugs which could have the linked drops or for items and weapons:
Luna moths - armor set that has a luminous effect allowing the player to see in dark areas or at night without needing to craft a torch or glowstick, or as they don't have a mouth could prevent hunger (also this could look so cool)
Earthworms - armor set that has a health regen bonus when full set is worn but damage reduction only when pieces are worn. Could be located in maybe a allotment area that would have a compost bin.
Centipedes - shield (strong and meant for end game content and maybe a whip style weapon (like an urumi using their tails) or a fork/trident weapon
Dragonflies - near the pond/lake area, could use there wings as stain glass for windows on bases (idk I think their wings are pretty), possible flying mount that multiple players could ride due to the long body (helpful in scenarios where one players Buggie has died)
Crickets/Grasshoppers - armor to increase jump height or used as a mount, also edible parts for cooking without cookery recipes
Honey bees - willow mentioned them when looking at a bumble bee, maybe there could be a apiary in the park? Honey could be used for healing items that give buffs (antiseptic), food items or traps that slow enemies. Maybe they attack and die straight away but in swarm (kinda like the orc and infected weevils do?)
Stick insect boss - Greatsword style weapon could be made from their drop (slower but more powerful)
Rhino beetle - could be used as a mount used to smash through obstacles and/or used to harvest pebbles, marble, quartzite in one hit, could use drops to make a scimitar, great lance or other type of curved weapon
Also just to say, despite some bugs the games is amazing and so fun, but the best thing I think is it feels like a sequel and has what made the first game great. Keep up the good work guys it'll prob be a manic few months but I know you'll get there!!
