Seems fixed in new 1.3.0 patch. thank goodness. though wasn't mentioned in the notes posted.

I would suggest you write in a support ticket there is an article here https://support.obsidian.net/article/135-how-do-i-report-a-bug#:~:text=Once you have the screenshot,through our Obsidian Support portal. explaining how. but I sent mine in through email at support@obsidian.net with the save files and logs and they wanted a dxdiag file also. but then they needed me to basically write everything out that was in it anyway. still though, those files can help them pinpoint what on your system might be causing it if its not on the known issue list. ALSO sometimes the issues that are known get combined and the community issue list isn't renamed for the multiple issues i guess internally crammed into the public issue name. because I was given an existing issue with a different name as the tracker for my semi related issue and that they knew that one was also being looked into. so its worth sending in your issue in case but might be being worked on anyway if you talk to them they are pretty good about getting back quick on bug reports if you have the stuff they need so far for me.

So, I kinda feel you. I decided to play a wizard build and was real annoyed with the dodge mechanics specifically at first. mostly because i often am moving forward which means back dodge will not work only left or right really. biggest thing is upgrade your armor. find the ones you can get from quests and chests that are higher tiers for uniques to use as stopgaps til you can upgrade the armor/weapon you actually want to wear if you don't have the stuff. also, your build and weapon loadout. I am going mostly frost/force but I carry 2 wands and 2 seperate grimoire's though the grimoir's and wand's really changed the most over time to just be the best i had but im nearing end game on that and run with a main loadout of whisper of exiles/auroch's skin grimoire and secondary of cruel command/eilara's grimoire I am 26 right now and the plan is to add the last 4 points in the picture of the build to fill out secret of rime and blizzard. I run with yatzli and giatta at this point, but early used kai and giatta for kai's taunt. but, mostly I like to go aoe frost stacked with fire and pull of eora type stuff. plus i have extra aoe damage and frost damage on gear. frost helps with the dodging too because you can freeze stuff. i carried a grimoire for a while while i was leveling that had a bunch of shield spells so i could use them one was a frost but the fire one was nicest as it just ripped them to shreds while i chased them with various magic while the big aoes were on cd.

I sent this in as a bug report and got told this is rolled into the existing belderreno's lair issue that is on the community known issues tracker. which is confusing since it has a whole different label of an issue. but it is being looked into they told me when i sent the bug report and my logs and stuff as it has happened to me as well. some people can go back to an older save and get it done. I personally have not been able to find one old enough that actually works that is still in emerald stair and im now just waiting on a bug fix to finish this before going past the point of no return because i like finishing things and it is the absolute quest i have left.

Still bugged after the 1.2.4 patch or 1.2.11 on battle.net I submitted a bug report with all the files asked for and such. it isn't listed on the acknowledged issues list that got posted so here is hoping eventually it gets added. there was another belderreno one on there. maybe can work on both together.

This is the last quest I have left before moving on past the point of no return. I have the quest but if i kill him he doesn't drop the quest item just the primal rock. have tried this on early access then whatever the patch numbers have been on battle.net as they are a bit different but every patch I've tried it multiple times. even my oldest save file from before i get near there and into the city doesn't seem to load and then let me go into the city get the bounty and do it with a drop.

OK, so JUST now it allowed me to start installing from battle.net.

Not even starting a pre-load on battle.net right now for premium edition and it says early access has begun. I can pre-load on xbox app on windows as it has cross buy with battle.net, but it registers as a third version and won't open.
