Are they trustworthy or not?

I have recently found myself interested in an FPS game that has been in development for the past 7 years (since 2003). When I first heard of the game today, I was like sounds pretty awesome. I then saw that it was announced in 2003 and was like "oh, this was probably scrapped," however I was pleased when I went to the developer's website and saw that the game is still in development, and that the reason the game is taking so long to develop is because they are using a game engine that is still in it's development stages (just like the game is). A US Senator has called for a ban for all video games with violent or sexual themes in them. This ban would prevent teenagers (and children) from purchasing violent (and sexual) video games, even with parental permission. Currently the law has it that minors can buy mature games (17 or older) if the minor is accompanied by an adult and that adult gives the clerk permission to sell the game to the minor. The government wants to make it so no matter what a minor cannot purchase a mature game. There is no scientific evidence linking violence to video games. So who do you think should be in charge of what teens and children play, the parents or the US government? We already have the ESRB, and most stores won't sell mature games to a minor without their parents okaying the transaction or confirming identification. Hell, just the other day at GameStop I saw a man who appeared to be in his 40s get asked for his ID to pre-order a mature game. I too was also asked for my drivers license. The Republic of Indian Stream was a short-lived unrecognized state in North America from June 9, 1832 to 1835. The Republic of Indian Stream had a democratic government with a constitution, and a population of around 300 citizens. It was located in what is now part of New Hampshire. The nation was formed when citizens of a territorial dispute between the United States and the United Kingdom were unhappy with having to pay taxes to both the US and the UK, so they formed their own country. Citizens of Indian Stream referred to themselves as "Streamers". While Indian Stream was officially unrecognized, it did enjoy some international attention. When one of their citizens was arrested by the British, they launched an "invasion" against British North America (Canada), rescued their citizen, and shot up the British judge's house. In 1835 the republic voted to join the United States. The Republic of Indian Stream ceased to exist when the New Hampshire militia annexed the republic. Which country has been involved in the more peace keeping and humanitarian intervention campaigns, the United States or the European Union,. Let's list and compare the missions they each participated in, and we'll see which has participated in the most peace keeping and humanitarian intervention campaigns. Europe has participated in 16 humanitarian campaigns since 2002. I'm not sure how many America has participated in. Examples of peace keeping and humanitarian campaigns are Operation Power Pack, Operation Noble Anvil, Operation Uphold Democracy, Operation Provide Comfort, Operation Restore Hope, and others. Peace keeping and humanitarian intervention missions are typically small military campaigns with the sole purpose of keeping the peace and/or protecting civilian lives. For the purposes of this debate, lets not include the War on Terrorism (Iraq and Afghanistan). For the purposes of this debate, let's primarily use peace keeping and humanitarian missions from the past 20 years or so, say 1990 to present.

This is for everyone who complains about how bad the Call of Duty franchise is. I agree with you that the games sucked after the first two, and yes, it's a bad franchise. It's terrible, but that's the point. Activision isn't making their subsidiaries (Infinity Ward, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer) make the next great game, they are purposely releasing garbage games every year. But that's okay, a game can be terrible, and yet still have some enjoyment. Prime examples of this are Modern Warfare 2 and StarCraft II, both games are absolutely terrible, yet they both have their moments (well SC2 doesn't really have any moments, since Kotick really ruined that game when Activision had a merger with Blizzard). I think the Call of Duty games should come out every year. The Call of Duty games are like car models, they release a new one every year, even if they've only changed a few things. But that's okay, because a few new things is usually an improvement over nothing changed (except for in the case of StarCraft II which is universally hated by fans of the original game for a reason; it sucks, they dumbed it down, they ruined custom map making, region restrictions, no LAN, internet required for single player, Battle.net 2.0 being worse than the original Battle.net, micro-transactions, Nazi-like custom map moderation, etc.), but Call of Duty games are supposed to be garbage, like I said. They are meant to be guilty pleasures. So please, Activision, don't stop throwing out one or two a year, in fact, please keep it up, because I don't care about how bad Call of Duty is, I, like most people, will buy it anyway.

It comes out today. Anyone buying? I might rent it. Apparently review companies said "it's not even worthy of rental", but I'll give it a chance.

I was really looking forward to Singularity prior to it's release. However, I'm ashamed to say that after about a year or so of waiting for the game to came out, I kind of forgot about it. Then it came out a couple of months ago, and I didn't buy it or even rent it. However, now I'm considering renting it, and if I like it, then later I'll buy it. I just want to know if the game is any good? Apparently it got good reviews, but the game didn't sell very well. Also, do people still play Singularity for Xbox 360 online? Like does it still have an active community where you can get a full-house (maximum amount of players), or is it where you can play small matches with like 3v3 due to lack of players, or are there like no players at all online for this game anymore? Gearbox Software has officially announced that they will be making a remake of Duke Nukem 3D. This remake is under the working title, Duke Nukem Next-Gen. This does not mean that they are canceling Duke Nukem Forever or Duke Nukem Trilogy, this is merely a third game in development. So far it's only confirmed to be on PC, but it will most likely be on consoles too, since "next-gen" denotes the next generation of video game consoles, which in this case would be the 7th generation (Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, OnLive). What do you guys think of Homefront? Obviously the game has no real plot whatsoever, since it's "story" involves North Korea conquering the western half of the United States. However, the multiplayer may be successful, could this be the next big multiplayer FPS game like Call of Duty, Halo, Medal of Honor, and Battlefield? Or will it fall through the echelons as a mere footnote in history? Currently the game is slotted to be released in March 2011. Is GameStop accepting pre-orders for this game yet? Also, what special incentives do people who pre-order at GameStop get? Like do you get a special in-game weapon, or free DLC, or a key-chain, or t-shirt or what? Will other stores, like Best Buy and Amazon.com, be offering the same incentives as GameStop? Anyone remember back in like February whenever AvP3 came out? I was so excited for that game, and was really looking forward to it. Too bad it failed. I just played it for the first time in like 6 months for Xbox 360 and there's a new patch. Apparently the matchmaking is faster now, so you don't have to wait 10 minutes to play a game. I was surprised to see that people still play this online, granted, it's nowhere near as popular as it was the week it was released. It seems like no one does non-ranked games anymore though, and most of the time you end up playing with a small amount of players, instated of a large amount of players, due to the game slowly losing popularity. It still takes you back to the menu after a ranked game though, which sucks. I'm not sure if they fixed the flamethrower or not, since I didn't have a chance to actually kill anyone with the flamethrower, which was originally (and possibly still is) extremely underpowered in multiplayer. It was fun for a bit, I got a killing spree going on in my first match today. Sadly, almost every time you die, it's because a Predator (Yautja) trophy kills you (rips your spine out). Or you die from a Predator shooting you with his plasma cannon, which disorientates you, and incapacitates you, then he'll shoot you again while you're incapacitated (or throw a one hit kill throwing spear at you).

Yeah, but I rented it at Blockbuster, and it's due back tomorrow. Then can you guess what to do? Buy the game if you like it or don't. But please don't assume that we care about corrupted files as if they were a tragedy. Well if they patch it, will my save work, or would I still have to start over?

What do you guys think of how a lot of companies are removing split-screen from their games and making it so the only multiplayer is online multiplayer? I for one love online multiplayer, but split-screen (and subsequently, system link) aren't entirely useless. Some people still like to play with friends and family in real life. A good model for split-screen is what Halo does, where you can have up to four people playing online at the same time, even if three of those people don't have Xbox Live Gold. Some games that don't have split-screen are Team Fortress 2, Aliens vs Predator (2010), and Medal of Honor (2010). Who else would like to see future games have split-screen and system link in them, in addition to online?

It's pretty cool, but why?
