Seems the save file got corrupted, I tried forcing the game to download new save files from the cloud but apparently it was saved corrupted, I went to the previous one, an autosave and it loaded with no issues... just lust 1 hr of gameplay but I guess at least I am able to continue playing lol

I deleted the saves, kept only one, no dice I now cannot even get into the game, no matter if I have all my saves or just the one, as soon as I select a save to load, it crashes with the same error, and now reinstall is not solving it, I have done so 5 times already. I guess I will wait for the next hotfix. Back to Sons of the forest on the meantime then hahaha

IDK what is going on my end, but it happened again the next day and I am guessing it will happen again today but here is what I did: I cleared temp files in both folders, uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted, tested and it didn't do that anymore. What I noticed is that when it happens, it does so at the moment it autosaves, IDK if there is an option to disable auto saves while they correct it, I will check, but yeah, last time it happened I had just finished the hacking of the antenna in the hedge and as it was autosaving this happened, and then I reinstalled and rebooted and could play for hours... but it is not actually sensible nor acceptable to just reinstall every day hahaha

Yes, I have been playing for almost an hour now and it has not crashed, so far it seems that reinstalling it solved the issue, at least for the time being

Game still crashes after reboot, so I am reinstalling and will test after it is reinstalled. Also checked if I by any chance opted in to Beta, but I didn't.. might test opting in to beta to see if the beta update stops crashes lol

I played practically the whole day without issue, but suddenly it crashed, I thought it was the GPU drivers as the game froze and some audio artifacts were heard but I reinstalled drivers and the same issue happens, now after restart, not 5 minutes in, the game crashes I checked integrity of game files and tested my rig, even though it is less than a year old and all is fine, memtest did not find any issues, and running the exe as admin made no difference. I am hoping that it is a reboot of the computer that is needed, but that will have to be tested tomorrow as I am ready to go to bed now.

I totally agree with this, we really need a quick button for mutations loadout, we got so used to it in the first game and it is sorely missed in here, there is also a few posts in reddit about this haha (and yeah, we also need more hotpouches)

Yeah, I just realized that, he was gone since I got Aza onboard, the only character I like, the one that is not annoying, is the one that is gone from the ship. Just as you, he can be added once I leave the ship but he doesn't have the normal convo options they have in the ship.
