"I'm prob taking a break after this for a little bit" A promise is a promise. I won't be doing much DALL-E 2 stuff from here on—I'll get only 15 credits a month now, which resets every 18ᵗʰ. I don't know if I'll be checking in too often, but I'm still open to checking requests ITT. (Link) Maybe someone else could pick up the slack. Check some other AIs I'm not overly fond of OpenAI, DALL-E 2's creator, anyhow. DALL-E 2 is good at realistic stuff VS a lot of other AIs(for now). OpenAI's done some other good stuff too like GPT-3. HOWEVER Anyway, go check out Stable Diffusion for free. It's new, open-source, highly-trained, and very good imo, in ways even better than DALL-E 2 (besides maybe at generating photorealism. They have different 'styles'). It also has more options/add-ons since it's open-source, such as 'img2img'. Or, just check one of the other gazillion A.I. models out there. There's definitely no lack of choice. Seriously, A.I. stuff has taken off pretty high, and I don't see it going down any time soon; there's always going to be more and more options in the future. Deuces

And I've run out—The small outpainting of PoE 2's official art. I might've been too hesitant with wordy prompts, but honestly I was expecting some gibberish garbage from my over-detailed prompts! Maybe older AIs made me paranoid I wish this website didn't scale down highres uploads like this to a half-sized .jpeg. The original is a 2944x1024 .png. Is there a good website to direct link images that ISN'T imgur? nvm found a reasonably reliable site. Full resolution Process: Y'know, since I got 4 images to choose from for each square, I could probably stitch together something even better-looking from the extra images.

It's almost expiration time, and no one's coming in. Guess it's time for me to spend the rest on dumb crap no one wants. Here we go! Eh I'll just go halfway on 1 & 2 for the outpainting. I considered a bunch of dumb memes or sh!tposts if I can't even use this thing for portraits, like Aloth getting mugged in a NY subway or something.

Do it, bro! For real, I'm prob taking a break after this for a little bit anyway; maybe lurk and see what other people make. I'll plug this site again: http://lexica.art, if you wanna get a taste of Stable Diffusion images by other people including portraits A good portrait requires the ideal male body (link) Eyyyy, my 50th post and 1,000 views at the same time. Timing. Glad this AI stuff is finally getting some attention here, for the first time.

tbh I wouldn't bother with PoE portrait requests anymore, specifically. You've all seen what they look like in the prev page. Unless anyone has some untapped crazy idea or prompt, the portraits are all going to look stylistically like the results from this thread. I've wrung it out. This is as close as it gets for DALL-E 2; its weakness is not recognizing "Pillars of Eternity". Try again with Stable Diffusion instead. SD recognizing "Pillars of Eternity" will make a huge difference. On top of the difference I noted about the AI 'styles' above

"despite the issues with faces" Ehhhhh for DALL-E 2, the faces haven't really been the issue (but the two inpainting attempts were a little f$cky tho. Don't inpaint faces). Pretty much almost all of them were good, which is extremely impressive for an AI. This year's been ridiculous with AI and deep learning, for real. The real big issue is matching PoE's art style. Super hard to get the game's art style without the AI recognizing the game. Ironically, the weaker AI on page 1 DID recognize PoE, despite having way, waaaay less training data. That's why page 1 matched better. Seems kinda silly in retrospect, but it makes sense. Your prompt requests: [Death Godlike] Painted portrait of a faceless demon paladin with horns in modern digital painting style El diablo [Nature Godlike] painted portrait of a male dryad cleric with antlers in modern digital painting style 6 CREDITS LEFT

btw, a lot of these editing tricks can work with versions of Stable Diffusion too, inpainting and whatnot. It's also worth mentioning that Stable is good but not as good with realistic-looking stuff as DALL-E 2 is. However, with digital art it's just as good. In fact it emphasizes it. Talk about ideal! Doing these digital art portraits is literally one of the best use cases.

This one, right? I could, but in the .gif you saw those 1024x1024 generation squares, they each cost a credit. I'd probably use up my few remaining and then some. High resolution is expensive yo I could INSTEAD scale the img resolution down to fit inside the square (like this) and generate one square around it though, at the cost of resolution. 1 credit only But if I go big with #1, I'd save it for the the last day(17th). I want to see if anyone else wants a request before I destroy my remaining credits.

Oh wait, nvm it's actually expiring Sep 18 (Sunday). "Sep 17" is just the last day i can use it. Anyway, screenshots of avowed, an open world RPG that combines Fallout: New Vegas and Skyrim SHUT UP LEE. can't believe you're just leaking these games. Who do you think you are, Jason Schreier? istg gonna get this whole thread nuked Screenshots of Josh Sawyer's latest independent game, a pixel art Bike Shop RPG simulator 9 CREDITS LEFT

One more try 32. black woman with white hair, in the style of Rembrandt Too realistic 33. black woman with white hair, wearing fantasy clothes, portrait, in the style of Rembrandt (bolded=changes) 34. portrait painted in the style of Rembrandt of a black woman with white hair, dressed like a fantasy RPG character "painted" changes a lot, but the style is usually way too matte (like an acrylic painting or flat-looking digital art). Its problem is its light and dark values lack a certain depth—I can't believe I'm judging the art style of an A.I., a computer, unironically. It just occurred to me. Well, at least a computer can't take it personally, I think. 35. realistic portrait painted in the style of Rembrandt of a black woman with white hair, dressed like a fantasy RPG character, hyperrealistic digital art I still have 11 credits left until the 17th. Not recognizing Pillars of Eternity is a real kneecapper for this AI. Not that these are bad. It's just, having it instantly recognize Pillars of Eternity makes it so much easier, like with DALL-E Mini aka Craiyon. That was a weaker, less-trained AI, yet look at my profile pic compared to these and tell me which one matches the artstyle better. Probably squeezed DALL-E 2 as much as we could. Stable Diffusion is definitely the way to go in the future. At least you won't need to spend $$$ or go on a waitlist. Better have enough VRAM tho

I tried another idea for prompts 29-31 The Rembrandt run ig my 'blue orc' idea wasn't as effective this time. It was something from the DALL-E Mini series on pg.1, the jokepost about 'how to make coastal aumaua'. Now it's smurfs lol I was trying to see if I could recreate any of these stylistically. Like the style of this or this reddit post (the last image)

tbh it's probably a good thing they pull from as many sources as possible, without nsfw filters or any filters that DALL-E 2 does. You and everyone should totally pick up Stable Diffusion. Shouldn't be too bad to set up with plenty of tutorials floating around. Once I finish up with DALL-E 2, I'm probably going to take a break anyway. And speaking of DALL-E 2, back to it: Non-human races. God, I forgot just how bad the situation was, just how few portraits there are of orlans. Literally ONE male portrait for each of their two subraces. Let's see what some variations of rare portraits look like Aumaua too Results are ...Ehhhhhhhh 24 hearth orlan variations (to make variations look unique for your portrait, you'd have to do some re-coloring, regardless of the AI. Use PS, GIMP, etc) 25 wild orlan variations Who are these little fellas? A buncha little gremlins. Trolls. Imps. Goblins. Duendes. Up to some devious shenanigans. Some foolish tomfoolery. Coaxing you into a snafu. They're gonna call you a b!tch. Not really wild orlans, though. 26 coastal aumaua variations 27 island aumaua variations 28 uhhhhhhhhhh Ok maybe Variations isn't as good as I thought it was

Yeahaaaaa boiii i think we're getting somewhere with variations. Oh, and one more thing. Before I keep going with DALL-E 2, I wanted to try a different diffusion model AI for just one post. It's a very new AI that was publicly released a few weeks ago: What Stable Diffusion can make ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A test below I ran on the "demo" version of Stable Diffusion. Not an ideal representation of this brand new AI. You can find cooler examples on google or using the searchbar on this website. Anyway, on my first attempt: "rogue, pillars of eternity portrait", I made an important realization. Hey hey, so it DOES recognize Pillars of Eternity, unlike DALL-E 2. That was such a big hurdle. This'll make generating images so much easier. This is the open-source Stable Diffusion Using it will take just a bit of tutorial-ing, but it's 100% free. It's much better. Bit of context: Or if Google Colab isn't up your alley, the simplest but slowest way to run Stable Diffusion is running the "demo" here, same as I just did w/ the rogues (you'll be competing with other people in a queue, waiting in line). It even has a few "Advanced options" there you can modify, right underneath. But, it's just a demo; Not the full range of capabilities. The main point is, this AI model is powerful AND it's free. Go crazy. EDIT: ____________________________________________________________________________________________ https://lexica.art/?q=rpg+portrait <— Oh, and if you wanna skip all of that. Here's Lexica, a massive database of people's Stable Diffusion images. They look better than what I made, a better idea of how powerful the AI is. You can search whatever you want in this huge image library. After finding a good image, click "explore this style" I'm still going to generate portraits ITT, but go check ^this link out if you want to search for a pre-made portrait that fits your tastes. I just put in "rpg portrait", but go look up whatever you can think of in the search bar. Link it here if you find some cool stuff

Yooooooo What if instead of relying on prompts, I just do variations of existing portraits? What better way to nail the artstyle? Editing/Inpainting could work too, but I don't trust it with faces. It would have to be replacing other stuff like armor or like giving someone godlike horns or something. I at least want to try variations of a few portraits.

Editing/"Inpainting" 23 josh. it him oh no, someone took his face. i can fix it here we have: Jwayne The Rock Joshson Dwayne "The RocKick" Johnson Josh "The RJOTKN" Johnson. Jrett M. Sawyer Pain "The Josh" Xianson. - Also known as Woiny The words? I think bc of Dwayne Johnson the AI took faces from movie posters which have text. lmao. AI is goofy with text. You should see how it interprets fast food signs

Examples 'Variations' 20: tbh Boeroer i still recognize you more by the old profile pic. Funny part is since the pic was so lowres, the AI made its images blurrier too. I didn't expect that 21 Ever wanted to beat the game with 5 of yourself? PERCY GANG PERCY GANG A.K.A. 'Percy & his fanclub go and gang up on the rest of the Deadfire'.
