mine just appeared.

sent a tweet to obsidian, hopefully they'll respond either there or here, i assume it's a cdkey issue? since normally you'd have seperate cdkeys for each expansion but - atleast mine had 1 cdkey that contained both.

same here, i ordered both together as part of the pack prior to release, part 1 came fine but see no part 2.

a lot of loot is randomly generated
-
there are also some rings that give +2 level 2 spells and +1 levle 4 spell
-
my biggest issue with PoTD was due to the stat boost you miss...a lot and as far as i know there is only the accurate enchantment that u can get
-
adding my name to the list.
-
from what ive seen on the wiki there was a 8 mechanics mentioned, as well as a 6 lore - not sure hwat the requirement is for lvl 5 scrolls but that too.
-
blast is a passive so i always take that
-
from what i saw certain ranks consumed certain anvils with the highest level ones being 4 or 6 (cant remember), anyone know if u can enchant more than 1 of the same upgrade, eg 2 +2 might enchants or can you only have one.
-
either wood elf for the accuracy bonus at range or death godlike for the 20% dmg bonus at enemy hp being under 25%
-
i went with lore and mechanics cause im a wizard with the scholar background ;p
-
yes but from what i understood you can switch grimoire's in combat
-
guess that'll occupy me for....half a day ;p

while i understand the reasons for not having it, usually games like this have issues with the "cool ability" syndrome where an ability sounds cool or useful but turns out not to be or doesnt work like you expect.
-
The descriptions are very good. There are no dump stats like D&D.
i'd say perception is currently kind of a dump stat as interrupt % is easily the worst benefit out of all the stats.

So, decisions decisions. Should I wait until tomorrow, or start testing after midnight (as it will be in my country), and probably get too little sleep?
test till 6am. sleep for 6 hrs. resuming testing.

the real question is - do you have backup server hamsters?

Wouldn't it be wise to think something along the lines of "Ok, the release date is the 18th. But they're filthy slackjawed Yanks who live on an extremely inconvenient continent with it's own ridiculous time zone, so when they say the 18th, what that really means for me is the 19th, at an hour that is probably so ungodly that even my trusty chamomile tea won't cheer me up. Bugger."???
With a regular publisher - yes, without a doubt. But with an indie dev like Obsidian I had the apparently foolish illusion they'd actually care enough o think about things like that and release the beta at, say, 8 am local time, so people in other parts of the world would have a chance to play at the stated date as well.
But now that I know I'll add another day to any future date they post, just to be sure not to be disappointed again.
The obvious answer is Obsidian hates non-Americans.
yea damn them for not having a time machine. frankly speaking of time you shold always expect it to be american timezone, usually PST. - although i really wish people would use GMT.
-
So... confirmation of a relatively significant delay.
according to my calculations its currently 11:38AM PST, therefor > 12:01 does not constitute a significant delay.
-
"I would take a nap. It will probably be this afternoon Pacific time."
"
From Adam Brennecke twitter
So, afternoon in PST (or is it PDT?) is going to be around or after midnight GMT... Sheesh, if there is one thing man has conjured that confuses me, it's time.
technically afternoon would be a little under an hour from now...although somehow i doubt we're going to get it at exactly 12:01.
-
multiplayer in a crpg? thats crazy talk!
also now i want to reread order of the stick

@g_c13 @RobinZeCaptein I would take a nap. It will probably be this afternoon Pacific time.

Yup, this was totally unexpected.
Nobody could have forseen technical difficulties on a highly expected day.
Tre shock.
It's all the publishers fault.
