One of my unique items lost its attributes. I noticed that the Village Fool buff from the Cap of the Laughingstock wasn't triggering all of a sudden and tried moving the cap around to see if it was bugged. It didn't seem to fix it so I played a bit longer and figured it would return.
I only realized after a while that the item had actually changed completely. The attributes were completely wiped off, leaving a plain helm item. I tried using the console to create a new one, however even that failed, telling me that the item already existed.
I'm not sure if this can be fixed, but is there any way to prevent it from happening in a future game?
