Game causing computer to freeze

So sorry, I completely forgot my OS. I'm on Windows 10 Home. -
Hello there, I have reason to believe that this game is causing my computer to lock up. I will be playing normally, no lag or anything, and then the sound will cut out and the whole computer will freeze up causing me to have to force power off. I think that this might be occurring more often in certain dialogues, but I can't be sure about that. Here are my specs: AMD FX 9590 Eight core 4.70GHz 16.0 Gb Ram Windows 64 Nvidia GTX 980 I'm running the game on medium graphics so that shouldn't really be the issue I don't think. Maybe my computer is overheating? I'm not sure how to check if that's the case. Let me know if anyone can be of any help or if you need anything else from me, thanks!
