Cannot place clay/pebblet foundation

Submitted a support request. The existing clay foundations you see in the image were built prior to the 0.5.0 update. -
Xbox, solo, 0.5.0. The game will not allow me to place a clay/pebblet foundation next to an already built foundation. I can place one on top of another foundation or by itself, not attached to another foundation.
