    If you truly want to role play, you can't dump Resolve. Some fantasy heroes are strong, some not; some are quick, some not; some are smart, some not so much; but every one of them has resolve through the roof. Elric did travel with Moonglum, though, so you could always do a 2 character run instead of solo.
