There is already a shield in the game it just has to be released.

There is a glitch where ants will spawn directly in your base ON top of your chests, digging through your chests and deleting items and it always happens when i come back home to my base. One time I had about 7 ants spawn simultaneously inside my old base. https://imgur.com/a/x1vVPby
