  1. Not sure if this has been noted anywhere yet but i noticed something regarding the issue with Armour Dummies not showing the equipped armour

    • I have several Dummies. One for each type or Armour.
    • When loading my game, the Dummy that is wearing the same armour that my character is wearing will now not be showing it's own. (Both methods of workaround still work to retrieve it).
    • I tested this with Spider, Ant and Ladybug armour and it was consistent and repeatable.
    • I haven't tested this with weapons and the weapon racks yet, although i assume the behaviour will be the same?

Not sure what else i can do to test this and be 100% conclusive, but i feel it's worth noting to be looked into for a possible solution.

    1. Playing on PC (game pass) Me, Host.
    2. Playing on PC (game pass) Daughter
    3. Playing on PC (game pass) Son
    4. All drivers are up to date.

I am hosting and my two children join my game.  here are some issues we've had since 0.2.0:

    • When respawning (on a feather bed, on a second floor) my son began to fall through the world.
    • I can see all furniture and built items correctly but some are missing for my kids. Different items are missing on each of their games. These items all appear stacksed inside each other in a different place in our camp.
*See images - One is from my POV and the other is from my daughter's POV*
    • when going near door frames in 3rd person the camera enters inside your characters head.
    • AVG seems to crash the game minutes into starting on both my machine and my son's machine. Both are using the same, latest, Nvidia drivers. Disabling AVG let us play together for an hour or so without problems (Only stopped playing for bedtime!)
    • My son uses a game-pad (Razer Sabertooth - An Xbox style controller). This sometimes, randomly assigns itself as player 2 (the 2nd quadrant on the controller illuminates instead of the 1st).  This means it stops functioning in game and, sadly, Windows is incredibly ill equipped to change which player the controller is assigned to and requires restarting your machine for it to register again as Player 1. Can't rule out it being the controller etc but it's never happened before or since on other games.
    • Armour dummies continue to not show equipped armour (the existing workarounds still work to get it back)
    • Can't interact with the eggs at the Ant hill (there is one complete egg amongst some egg casings, not sure if they're supposed to be lootable?

  2. I don't have a solution but wanted to add another voice here. My Son is having this issue also.
We're both using the same (up to date drivers) and he is joining the game i am hosting.
I am not having crashes but he is having full CTD's 4 times and like you say, they're all 1-3 minutes after loading into game. Not during any specific action other than just moving around.
We decided to just wait until the patch tomorrow to continue playing sadly.

I could get behind a partial taming system as long as there is no mounting. Instead of mounts, if you want to supplement travel for instance,  give us a grapple hook that attaches to certain flyers that have a predictable path (ex: bees that go from flower to nest) or a slingshot/catapult for us to set up at various places to use with gliders. Maybe even 2 tier (berry leather, and weed stems?) and 3 tier (bee/mosquito wings, with other components) gliders.

    Catapult idea sounds pretty cool.

You missed some easy internet points though by not suggesting a trebuchet.

  4. I'd like to see taming in partial form personally, but only have it applicable to pet type creatures. Having a pet Aphid/Weevil chilling at home, in some sort of dog house would be really cool.
It could be attached to whatever structure needs to be built to house it and unable to roam too far away from it so that it stays within your base.

I don't like the idea of combat tames as, like you said, it's easy to lose scale of threat and exploration if you have a mountable spider or something.

  5. Hey Ixdiamond.
Might be a bit late for you now, but next time this happens, try loading a previous autosave. Unless you have changed your settings, they are only 5 minutes apart so the most you would lose was 5 minutes progress.

My Son crashed in the game i was Hosting a couple of times the other day and when he rejoined he had nothing in his inventory so i quit out and reloaded our game from the previous autosave and all was well.

Not a perfect long-term solution but it's a way to keep playing until it's patched.

Yep, pretty much what the title says. Decided to try the armor dummies, and it was the first set I put on one. When I came back to base to swap my armor (wanted to move some grass and weeds), it was no longer there.

Hey, copied my reply from another thread about this:

    Try either of the following:

Place different armour onto the stand. This may cause the invisible Bee pieces to appear in your inventory

Scrap the stand. This will cause the Bee pieces to fall to the ground with the other materials from the stand.

I've had this bug twice. The first time, the first method worked, and the second i had to use the second method. But both times i got the armour back.

I tried Ironthumbs idea of recycling the dummy and got my ladybug armor back, thanks

Awesome man, glad it worked! I went back into the ant hill after the patch and found another set of the Bee Armor. Not sure if it's supposed to respawn or if it was a side effect of the patch but cool either way if you want more than one set in your game.

They are in the game, but I do not recommend using them CURRENTLY. They will eat your armor and you wont get it back (No im not talking about it being placed inside the Armor stand inventory, it just gets deleted, period)

Hey, i noticed this on one of my stands. It had an Ant armour set on it, and when i returned to base it was missing. I had tones of ant parts in my chests so i thought i'd make a new set to free up some room and put it back on the stand. When i equipped the armour onto the stand, the original pieces ended up going into my bag. I know they were the original pieces and not some sort of duping method because the durability had damage (as they were nearly broken when i placed them originally)

TLDR: It seems the pieces are still on the stand, but they're invisible. If you have this happen to you, try placing other armour pieces onto the stand to see if you retrieve the invisible ones.

  10. Having a wonderful time with this game :) Thank you so much for the work so far.
Here are a few issues, in no particular order, that we have experienced in our play time for the last couple of days:

Both of my children, Joining the game i am hosting, have a bug where after they swing a weapon/item it will unequip after it hits something as if it's breaking.
    >As an example, using the axe to chop down grass they will hit the grass stem and the axe will unequip after making the first hit leaving them punching the grass with subsequent attacks.
One of them has this also happen with all weapons, but the other can use weapons without issue.

We also ran into a problem where one of my kids couldn't pickup items from the floor (If i dropped her mushrooms for example) but she could pick them from the wild and take things from chests.

Various crashes without obvious causes. Latest one this evening was when trying to recycle the grass pallet thing.

The Glowing Shroom Sconces stopped emitting light at some point and i had to recycle and rebuild them.

Trying to revive each other very often fails, making you have to adjust your position/camera a bit before you can successfully complete the revive.

The drink container thing, when filled, can't be used by myself (Host) or my son, but my daughter (who built and filled it) can drink from it fine.
    >We get the error message "cannot mix liquids" or something similar.

Sometimes when trying to pick up an item, we will get told our inventories are full, when they aren't.

The carry bonus from Ant armour sometimes shows that you can carry more Planks than you are actually able to hold. OR the bug is that you can't carry as many as you are supposed to!

Trouble placing blueprints (specifically with walls/palisades)

    Microsoft Store

The Microsoft Store may be one of the most welcoming when it comes to sharing games with your friends and family. Similar to Steam, it allows you to share with up to five users on up to ten different devices. However, unlike Steam you can play on multiple PCs simultaneously. My kids can both play Minecraft on their own PCs from the copy that I actually didn't purchase but received with an Xbox One Minecraft bundle, which is another side benefit of the Microsoft Store. With Play Anywhere titles, you get the rights to play on both console and PC.

You will need to create a family group for your Microsoft account and each user will need their own Microsoft account, including children.

Once the family group is created you then simply need to login to the PC as the user you want to share the game with and open the Microsoft Store to download the game. Each user will have their own game saves and, as mentioned, can play simultaneously. This approach should also work for other content on the Microsoft Store such as apps, movies, or TV shows.

Another bonus for parents is Microsoft will allow you to set screen time limits, location sharing, content filtering, and even send you a weekly report of your child's activities on their PC.

Wonderful thank you! I'll look into this :)

EDIT: It seems this isn't applicable to games on Gamepass. Someone please correct me if you have any luck and I'm missing something.
