  1. Since I needed Caed Nua level 1 done for another stiletto, I tried some new velveeta. Like looters and kobolds versus beetles and spiders caused some weird fights, especially in the new weird places I found them post Maerwald. They would run from room to room hunting one another if you separated well enough to watch them. I finally learned the run away, wait til they turn and pivot back, shooting them in the back dance with a blunderbuss. Takes forever but saves resources. Priest really pushed my creative thinking. I don't know if this qualifies as a spoiler, but I was able to get the giant spider to stay where he was after I shot him from the raised platform. A lot of figurines, tho, to keep the adds off me. I dunno if these bugs are xbox ones or for other gamers too. One thing that I often glazed over, imo, is how like 4 stealth and 1 extra move is soooo much better than 5 stealth. In the beginning quick runner, but 3 survival is almost as good. It makes certain sneaks in Temple of Eothas possible (after boots of stealth for now a 6 score, and at least one extra move). Now I'm wondering how he's gonna handle the crucible knights first quest. Or if I will need to respec to do the catacombs delve for the guy's lost love and get some undead immolation.
  2. Is there a suggested order for the build, or a side build to consider and come back to this one later? I'm asking to anyone who played this type since level 1. At what level does the efficiency kick in, in your opinion? Is this a do anything I can for the figurine and work around that with lots of rests type of thing? Actually, I can probably iust make 5 more if I'm having troubles on PotD, right? I found some of my curiousity answered in this splinter build for lower level play:
  3. Thank you for replying and clarifying thr limitations, and (begin: defensive posture) I feel like I have sampled some early potd cheese platters (sending Callista in naked to fight Odema, waiting by wolves as Odema stares at you and is bitten to death--the shenanigans in the bear cave with a low level wizard solo, beetles to Maerwald, trolls to the shipment, foes staying on weird parts of the maps when you leave--whew!! End: defensive posture) Basically, everything I learned and enjoyed and said, 'man, I gotta try this' has been due to people like you, so thanks for setting me straight on this build and replying to my monk questions and thanks for everything. Its awesome to still get tips here for a game that's kinda abandoned. The worst blow for me on this is realizing this only after loving the game, getting it cheap, only to learn stuff like the extra vendor in the compass isn't available to console players. I may have to re-spec her out as a standard potd ranger with whatever dumps are necessary for wounding and uncomplicated bow play and lots of running from my dead boar. I didn't expect to like her this much running alongside the boar. It's adorable.
  4. You can sneak through the entire dungeon, imo if you grab stealth boots and gloves of manipulation. There is maybe one fight where I solo pull a single small ooze to reset my stealth enough to slip by the last oozes right before the end. I never pass this temple up since I'm on console and the money cheat turn in, while tedious AF, is too good to pass up. My question, to anyone who cares to answer, is Burneo, my monk is around level 5 or 6 maybe, and the dungeons are tough, so I can't push to get the supper plate. The second Crucible Knights quest turnin is murderous, and worst of all, and this is why I'm posting, the forgotten quest, with the armor needed for this build is devastatingly hard. Even with me popping off spectres to start it. They gang up on me and grind me down. I've tried running away, and some of them wait at the bottom of the map, but I still haven't been able to crack it. I have tried rotfinger gloves, which helped me in the crucible knights first quest, but not the quest, the forgotten. Thanks for reading my spewage!
  5. One thing that I didn't expect with this build is how long before you start to see the relevant talents/abilities of the build. I'm only level 3, chronically replaying act 1 on PotD, not worrying about other things like expert and stuff because I'm on a console and apparently solo play isn't worth xbone achievement pts. I was all sad face when my character, the hearth orlan, Maud, and her trusty boar Atchu have discovered they can't even kill the guard on top of Raedric's to get inside and don some robes to start spinning the calendar for gauntlets of accuracy, stealth boots, manipulation gloves, etc.. Since I didn't read this build was solo viable, I've been storing the story characters at the Inn. Hopefully just recruiting them doesn't hurt my xp, I can't tell, tbh. Whew, all that said, I have been following and trying many of the OPs builds and am here to ask: are there any resources on how to get through and snag tidefall. Is it soloable by... anyone? Thank you!
