  1. EDIT: I fixed this myself, but can't figure out how to take down this forum post haha! Sorry! To summarise, I went through the error report, saw the thing about KERNELBASE.DLL or whatever it's called? Looked it up and meant errors were on my end rather than the games, also in my DxDiag it said something about faulty updates towards the end. It turned out my windows automatic update feature had been broken for a while and was dealing with DLL format incorrectly, so I had to do a hard reboot of windows update through CMD and then download all the updates it hadn't been able to process before. PoE II booted up straight after this! So happy. Hi there, I just bought and installed Pillars of Eternity II on Steam, but whenever I launch, it gives me a crash report pop-up saying to contact the developers. I also installed the free DLCs 'Beard and Hair pack' and 'Gaun's Pledge', according to my library page. I've tried a bit of troubleshooting- 1) Uninstalling and reinstalling the game 2) Seeing if I have Citrix installed (I didn't find anything) 3) Installing without the DLCs 4) verifying the integrity of the game files 5) disabling windows defender, none of these unfortunately worked. I attached my crash report files and DxDiag as suggested! For a quick summary - I play on Windows 8, Direct X11, with the latest Nvidia Driver. I just finished Pillars of Eternity I last week and loved it, so I hope this is fixable, I'd love to see the rest of this story! I need to try and fix it quick, to see if I should request a refund from Steam or not oof. Not sure if Windows 8 is becoming obsolete yet haha. Hope you can help!
