  1. Ah right, I had figured they didn't have a New Vegas section on their new boards, but they do https://bethesda.net/community/category/17/fallout-new-vegas So disappointing to see Bethesda going the micro-transactions route
  2. You guys made that game right? You certainly are famous for it. But the only mention of it I can find on your site is a link to the now dormant bethsoft forums: https://forums.obsidian.net/forum/70-fallout-new-vegas/ There is quite a bit of good info on the web about the game, but it sure would be nice to be able to ask about it here; maybe even some of the original developers are still active on these boards? Reason I say is: After owning the game for many years, and start-stop playing it a few times over the years (and enjoying it just fine), I've come back to it recently with more of a mind to analyze the underlying game design and I've reached the conclusion that: it really is an exceptional work. The narrative elements are fantastic, and the game mechanics are quite good too. Graphics are fine for the era it came from, sound is good, art work excellent. Game even manages to earnestly evoke deep emotions from time to time (just found Falling Rock Cave for example). But I didn't want to start a thread about the game just to praise it. I also have a few questions, and I'm sure more would emerge if a thread existed: 1. Have been in Zion for about 6 or 8 hours of play now, and one thing I noticed immediately (and it hasn't exactly gone away) is that: my main view port seems a bit strange. I cannot say if it is in both firstperson and third person view, but I do think it is in both. Couple elements to it, but most notable and ever-present is: blurring of peripheral objects in first person view (moving away from the cursor) seems more extreme than back in the Mojave. I didn't see anything specifically in the display settings that would address that. The other thing is that the color scheme seems a bit weird, which may just be the way the art and meshes were made for Zion. Lastly is: seems the Mojave (both interior and exterior but ESPECIALLY interiors) is a lot darker than Zion? I had my brightness adjusted where I liked it for Mojave and now I've had to turn it down alot and even still a lot of places that I would think would be a lot darker are not. 2. I've consulted the Wikia for the game to know which containers are more likely to be safe and tend to make use of tool boxes and ammunition boxes whereever I can find them. I also have a collection of the Sasaparilla crates setup in Goodsprings to make using the benches more efficient. I understand from what some folks say online that possibly ALL containers in the base game are "safe," nonetheless I tend to try to use the ones the wikia lists as safe. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_containers_and_storage But what about Zion? None of the work areas I've found so far have anything on that "safe" list from the wikia. I lugged a SS crate back to East Virgin near the campfire so I've got a place to stash stuff, but I was just curious if anyone can clarify about safe containers in general and Zion in particular? To the devs who made this beauty! Salute!
