  1. ah got it, many thanks. yeah I repaired the south wall but didn't realize I had to exit out that way to go there, I thought you could use any exit. d'oh!
  2. Thx - I just put it on easy setting to get by that. I own the stronghold now. However now I'm stuck at the washed out bridge, any clues? I've bounced all around, not seeing how I can get to anywhere in "Defiance Bay."
  3. New problem - I cannot get past the spiders in the lower level of the stronghold, just too many. I have 6 in my party, tried swapping out my lvl 2 hired hand fighter for a ranger, but still couldn't survive. Tried some extra food to help boost this or that....is there some better defense against poison, or am I just too weak yet to take this? My main char is lvl 3 monk. Not sure where/how I can get stronger to get past this...more side quests?
  4. For me Normal was the way to go. I'm not into all the micromanagement when it comes to combat, I'm in this for the storyline and NPC interaction. When it comes to combat I mostly just hope my party is big/strong enough to win lol
  5. Great game but this is one thing that's driven me nuts, even just when going in and out of a building, it should not need such a long pause, it really takes away from the game. Oh well!
  6. I forgot to add definitely try to get anyone you meet to join you. Acting like a "leave me alone" jerk only gets you alone and I seriously doubt you can get very far in this game alone. At least I couldn't!
  7. Hey these are helpful for a newcomer, thanks. Another I would add is don't spend much if anything on equipment upgrades (swords etc) early on - you'll obtain more than enough in your early quests and you'll want to save up money (which is so scarce early on) for camping rests, maybe add a hired hand to your party etc. Really I thought they were overly stingy with money early in the game.
