  1. the point about robes and how the character looks is that this is an RPG, so the look and abilities of the character you build should be in some way how you like em. This isnt a shooter where you are generic punk 506 it matters how you interact with people and how you look. So thats why we care about the robes.
  2. I dont entirely follow the sarcasm, does this mean you liked the jedi robes as they were or just dont want to just slap in carbon copies from the movies? I was really looking for a more serious response, sorry if you dont like what im thinking.
  3. Its always been my thoughts that while the robes of the jedi are really kind of hermit/hippy in style they do have a certain manner of coolness, which is something i never really thought was captured well in KOTOR, i hated the look of most of the robes, particularly the red and blue ones, they were just uncool to be honest. Even as a lightsider i always end up wearing dark jedi master robes, they remind me of seeing luke in return of the jedi, i was like, damn hes grown into quite the hard assed jedi just by changing his clothes. So its a question in that i want to hear what everyone else thought about the robes in KOTOR and if they love/hated them. and a suggestion to look into the jedi clothing for KOTOR2, with almost everyone else theres a huge scope for what they could wear but jedi really do have a specific look set in the movies, so robes that more closely follow obi-wan's robes, or luke's black suit would be really cool, because lets face it although we want to forge our own ways through the star wars universe, its the stuff we saw on the screen that drew us in and we try to emulate.
  4. Something i noticed today that niggled me with KOTOR was that even when wandering about in safe zones your lightsaber is always in your hand, would it be possible in the engine to have it that when the character isnt using it instead of walking with it in hand they holster their blaster or put their saber on their belt? You could even make actions like that matter in game for example i dont imagine walking into the local cantina with your blaster in hand would make people never turn their back on you... while walking in with it holstered you're just another patron. Anyways i just think it would be neat if i wasnt always holding my lightsaber everywhere i go, not sure if thats something that could be changed in the engine though.
  5. I think an important consideration is the single/dual lightsaber option, in KOTOR 1 i never found any reason to prefer a single saber to a double or two sabers, infact if you have the PC with a single blade vs an opponent with 2 and no force powers you'll probably loose in a straight out "attack" fight. The way i see it the single saber is the best for defense and counterattack, the two bladers should be more penalised, because they have no strength behind their blades. If a guy with two sabers blocks a single blade opponent he better hit with his other blade because if not the opponent will simply use his weight behind his blade and push down until he starts cutting flesh. Im not making a very clear explanation i dont think, but i believe there should be some advantage to using a single blade, since the other options have such obvious advantages.
