i placed an order to newegg.com for an eVGA geforce fx5500 256 agp card. im hopoing the nvidia card will let me play KOTOR 1 and 2. if anyone here has a fx5500 could let me know how well it works with KOTOR.

i tried the omega drives and im still having the same trouble.

i went and tried to ply KOTOR1 last night just to see if it was just a problem with KOTOR2 and my radeon not liking each other or something else. i got it istalled, patched, and game stated. and just as i thought, i got 5 minutes in to the game and it crashed the vpu. im DLing the omega drives at the time of this post and gonna give them a try. i would try that second option if i had a little more experience doing such things like that. this just bothers me to no end cos i was able to play KOTOR1 on an old 64mb geforce4 4200 at lowest game settings. only reason i got the radeon was cos it was about 50 dollars cheaper than the fx5500oc that was availabe at the store i got my radeon at. anyways, my download just finished, ill post again if this fixes my problem.

i looked at it and it sez Radeon 9550. then goes on giving the chip type, DAC type, memory size, adapter string, and BIOS info will omega drivers work with my 9550?

i made this thread over a week ago now and have yet to get any help. gotten plenty of people looking at it but no replies on the subject. so i can take this one of 2 ways. 1) no one here nows how to help me with this problem. or 2) the person or persons that do know how to help me with this just dont care. someone let me know if i can get any help on this or not so i can quit wasting my time coming to this forum several times a day in hopes of finding out how to fix this problem so i can play KOTOR2.

i recently purchased kotor2 and when i try to play it i get a bout 5 minutes into the game when i get an error message saying my VPU crashed. i send the error report and then reboot. i downladed the latest drivers for my radeon 9550 and the latest patch for the game. im also running a P4 2GHz processor, 1024MB of DDR, and a radeon 9550 256mb agp card, if that helps any.
