  1. I approach the game a little differently from many.  These include many choices from deck 6, so may not be helpful to you.

    1.  It is better to block damage than to heal damage.   Hence....
Best item is the ring of superior protection
Best armor is the spell ward shield
With this combo, a character can stop up to 5 points of any blockable damage.  There is very little unblockable damage in the game.  There are other lower level shields and items that also block (less) damage.

    2.  These spells work well in all situations.  With a couple divine spellcasters, you should have a couple of each spell among your party.
Greater Aid - 2d6 works on any check
Major Cure - less required when you have plenty of blocking
Sunburst/Whirlwind - feels good for Lini
    Invoke - lengthen your game

    3. Weapons are somewhat situational
Slaying weapons - great at high levels to assure eliminating a henchman
Mokmurian's Club - better at low levels, if you have not been blocking damage
Force Sling +3 - If you are pulling a high level toon down to lower levels to farm (Lem doing solo allies quest), this guaranties the most damage

    4.  Allies, have a mix of Eagle, moutaineer, blue dragon... no single choice but a mix of different ones

    5.  Fire producing attacks.
The afforementioned Poog is the top low-level choice
Higher level fire producing items and weapons find their place here.

    6. Deal with traps
master tool kit - great at low levels
    Blessing of Abadar

    7. Blessings that fit you characters powers.   Very few of the character blessing powers are not worth getting.   So plan ahead and save the matching blessings.
  2. Well said.

Being Obsidian's first mobile game we learned a lot of thing to not do in the future.  That is for certain.

I apologize that the notification of a price change only coming from a single in-game banner a while ago.  The blog post was written but the publish button was never hit and for that, I am sorry.

I feel that the publishers have tried to address the players demands. Personally, I think making this a pay to play game is the only path to having a long life and new content. I'm a huge fan of Skyrim, where there are 40,000 user mods. This game is so complex that I don't know if a user community could support it in that way. Hence, we depend on game developers to expand PA.

  3. Sunwrought Kyra is a fighter. I consider her the best alt character in the game.   Max her strength and put the rest in wisdom.

4 weapons is about right.  Don't add any more armour.

Max her blessings and give her power to put blessing of Saranae on top of her deck.

Max her spells.   A couple greater aid is very nice.  A couple of your best divine attack spells are good.  Perhaps an improved find traps.

I find that some items are better than followers.  But this depends on your party size and your play style.

  4. Just my opinion.....

The alt form of Kyra (Sunwrought Kyra) is the most improved (alt) character in the game.  Improve her strength and give her Dawnflower's Favor and she (combined with Seelah) can escort any other player through all the scenarios except one.  I would save my coin for those two.

There is one scenario with 8 pillars to close regardless of how many characters you play.  I find it incredibly difficult with only two in the party.

A bonus is that those two can quickly complete Daily challenges for more coin.

My favorite (maxed out) 3rd character is Lini.  Put these three in a party together and there is very little that you can't handle.

  5. I could have an explanation...

On my iOS verion, in the shop, i always see the gob adventure available to buy.

Despite the fact I can play with it (and I have the DLC trough the ambassador program)...

I don't try on my android version.

    Another sync problem ?

I am having the same problem.  Goblin groups that I create on my PC (steam) do not appear in IOS.  The group I created in IOS do not appear in my PC game.  The character count (12) is correct, but the characters from the other platform do not show up.

  6. You should note how unclaimed and stash cards can affect your rewards.

If you are running a new party and you want to be rewarded the loot cards, you must be careful that your stash and unclaimed cards contain some cards that are useable at your level.  If you are forced to replace a banished card from your stash or unclaimed, which is at a level higher than your characters level, then when it comes to be awarding loot cards, you will receive non-loot cards of your level instead.

The solution is to always keep an array of unclaimed cards, which is useable at your level.

  7. Hey, everyone! Thanks to the help of the awesome DanDizz, we are able to bring to you the beginning of our tutorial videos for Pathfinder Adventures. In this first video, we go over the basic terms and keywords that you'll come across while adventuring.

Have anything else you'd like to know about Pathfinder Adventures? Let us know below!

The tutorial includes "discard" and "bury", but it really should show on this page.

  8. What's the best scenario in 6 to farm items? I hate locations that require banishing cards since too often I've been burned by having a hand with no sacrificial cards. So, 6.1 with the haunts is risky since you have to immediate banish a card either from your hand or the deck.

The solution is to ban from your hand, then forfeit before you select a card to ban.  You don't lose an item that way.

  9.

However, I can't find the other two promo cards.  Where should I be looking for them?

In your Collection with the Owned Filter active, if you own them, you'll find the Eder Ally and Pallegina Ally cards under the B tab, and the Goblin Golem of Obsidian Ally card under the P tab.  Make sure you've also selected the Ally symbol.

Well, I looked as you said, and changed the filter to all (allys).   I didn't get them.

I purchased the basic Steam version before the 10% discount was issued.  I wonder it that was a factor.

  10.

So crashing at the party creation screen is usually an indication of a memory issue. Unfortunately, you won't be able to fix it yourself because you can't even reach the screen :( So if you're affected by this issue (crashing at party creation), please PM me your PFID.

Just saw this after I posted.

    Mine is: 6919456783fc5ee2

I just tried shutting-down all other apps, and there is 1.8G HDD left on my iphone7 device, but "new-game" still crashes (exits the app)

You have 22 characters which I believe is what is causing the issue. Unfortunately the current state of the character system is a bit unoptimized so this is what I'm going to do: I will temporarily delete some of your low level (low progression) characters. Once the patch comes in with the optimization fixes, I'll re-add them to your account.

Please let me know if this fixes / doesn't fix your issue.

I started reporting this problem months ago. I have only 18 (fully raised and high level equipment ) characters and I have not been able to play on Mobile since the PC version was released. So, removing a couple characters from 22 may not be enough.

  11. I appreciate your anger at all the bugs, etc.  I can't even play my mobile version until they figure out what the problem is.  So I'm angry too.  The best case for disappointment is the loss of quest mode.  That truly diminished the value of PA mobile.

However, I disagree that we were lied to.  PA mobile is still free, and purchases will let you get new content.   I feel that PA owed no one a PC version, and they were generous with the Ambasador idea.  Just play your PA mobile as tho PC never existed.

  12. The worth of a character can vary dramatically depending on the size  and composition of a party.   Sometimes a special site may dictate that a character be in the party.

Seelah: Regardless of party size, Seelah (or Formal Seelah) is my top pick, due to the combination of Ceaseless Crusade and Inheritor's Favor.  With 5-6 party size, she is essential to get through those many locations by getting boons out of the way without using an ally or blessing.

Ezren:  The larger the party size, the more useful Ezren becomes. More locations means more Intelligence based sites that showcase his abilities.  I regard him as essential for any party size 4 or more.  So he may be OP in a 6 character deck, but useless as a solo or 2 character adventurer.

Kyra:  No toon benefited as greatly as Kyra did with her new Sunwrought Kyra form as an Exorcist.  Her strength die became a d8, and her Dawnflower's Favorite lets her top deck any blessing/flavor of Seranae she uses.   Amazingly, she went from a side thought to an essential in all my small party decks.  Combined with Seelah, the two can escort any other character through all decks.    Her Dawnflower's Favorite ability deminishes in usefulness as the party size gets larger, but it is still great.

Harsk:  His special Sniper's role is excellent, but really shines in larger parties.  However, Miraculous Dexterity works for both combat and non-combat dexterity roles.  So Forest Harsk with some healing abilities becomes a killing machine with those blessings/favors of Erastil.  So at higher deck numbers, he is still viable in small decks.

Lini:  I really like Lini, but she is a bit impaired with only 3 items and not quite enough spells.   So, to beef up her defense, I give her a spell ward shield. And I give her a Slayer Bow (if possible) to beef up her offense.  A troupe of Velociraptors seems to go well with an Eagle to peek before attacking.  Properly built and well equipped, she can really hold her own.  But, she is really slow to build up to her potential.  At her best she works for any size party.  At her weakest she works only for large parties.

Sajan and Valerous: I must admit that these are usually an afterthought, most useful for party size 4+ because of they way they use their blessings.

Amiri:  Her move fast and move another powers are most useful depending on what sites are in the scenario.  So, it could be party size 3-6.  Also a die that always does d12 is useful.

Seoni:  Like Sajan and Valerous, she is usually an afterthought.  With Seelah in my parties she just isn't needed.  Her D12 blessing is useful.

Lem:  If you like to play solo, Lem is likely your best choice.  He can hold his own with a proper ranged weapon and a great mix of spells.  But I find that he needs the Seelah+Kyra combo in the party to give him some help in the most difficult attacks.  This make him best for large parties where his flexibility lets him satisfy a role that non of the others do as well.

Merisiel:  Her power Delay is super.  Her sneak attacks are terrific, but she has to be alone to sneak.  So, as the sites get closed, and characters start banding together, she has problems.  For this reason I restrict her to party size 3.  Great character with a severe limitation.

For all those weaker characters:  I note that they tend to have more item and ally slots.   Give them things like Mossy Disk to close, Eagle to peek, and Revelation Quill to stack a deck.  I noticed that many of my favorite characters don't have enough slots to carry these.

Remember, press Like for any post that you enjoy.  Good luck in your PA adventures.

  13. On Sajan.....

I have played every (11) character through legendary deck 6. Looking for more gameplay, I decided to develop Sajan as a bow master instead of a drunken uncle.

I must say, I've been pleasantly surprised. I partnered an inexperienced Sajan with a fully decked Seelah, giving him over strength weapons and items from other characters.

In one day, that duo flew through b, 1, 2, 3 and 4. The only replay was the dam (almost a random quest for that duo).

I believe that Sajan may be even stronger with deck 6 ranged equipment. And then, his array of support blessings is massive.

I always thought that rechargeable healing was a limited bonus. I really like the bow master setup.

I'll second this .  I also built a master bowman Sajan.  Give him a Slayer Bow and you still get to recharge all those Blessings of Erastil.  I was quite pleased how he played out.

  14. First: Kudo's to the dev team.  PA is a tough game to implement in any PC or mobile environment.

I really doubt this is a personal inventory problem.  Rather, Mass Sagacity is not recognized in the Legendary/etc add-on dlc collection of cards.

When I started up the Basic PC game, I linked my existing Ios tablet game with the code generated on the tablet.

    Then I started checking around.

In my card inventory, everything that I had in the mobile game was there (yay).

Every other card (I checked "all" in treasure) was there except Mass Sagacity.  It was a highlighted card and I expected it to be included in the basic PC game package.

Hence, my conclusion... The dlc to include that group of cards should have included, but did not include, Mass Sagacity.

This is not at all a critical failure, but one of those "oh, we missed that".

    Thanks
