  1. Second time today I've needed this image...

    https://assets.listia.com/photos/2099e1cc6150a0e3dba5/original.jpg?s=320x320m&sig=4ee8f7378452216a&ts=1335268663

Also, isn't last lancea sanctum from NWOD (where the system is crazy broken regardless)? And Sabat vampires were cool until you remembered that paths mean you should have negative humanity, and humanity 0 is "can't be mistaken for a human in a dark alley." Pretty much everything senses that you are wrong.

Demon and Mage were more my bag. And changeling, if you wanted to play in the world of dimness as opposed to darkness, although the "everybody forgets eventually" tones could be pretty soul crushing.

Oh dude don't go the NWOD (which is now Chronicles of Darkness *pushes glasses up*) it ends badly...Both systems have their pluses and minuses and had different goals in mind.  However I better cut myself off there because World of Darkness and Star Wars are tied for #1 things to make me fangirl about like a 12 year old girl does to Justin Bieber.

  2. I had a Malk that believed he was the second coming. He met just enough of the Lancea Sanctum's prophesies that they didn't quite want to kill him outright.

I also had a Khabit who was a demon hunter for the Lancea Sanctum. He was 7' tall, wore a long black trench hiding a fire axe and a sawed off shotgun (both 8 again weapons). He ashed a Gangrel in 1 hit.

I love playing Sanctum Vampires, they can be crazy powerful and fun if stacked right.

I'm all for the long game Followers are fun because you get everyone to owe you something and, because your goals are different from the other clan's (especially if you accidentally fall onto the Path of Lilith) you get to tell really interesting stories...and mess with other's plans like nothing else

  3.

The group level is taken from the highest level Charecter.

I have found that playing with mixed levels works really well. It spreads out the level up rewards so that you get more variation. The difficulty is not increased that much so low level charecter a can survive ok. I had a lvl 40 rogue and a lvl 1 Barbarian - worked fine. The other advantage is that you get more XP at the higher levels. So by having 1 high level charecter you can level up the others faster.

Yeah, I've noticed as I switch in and out different characters to try them they do tend to level up pretty fast.  It's nice not to be hampered by a new character.  I haven't seen a lot of downside, really, other than the less cool cards in the characters' hands.

It is based off the highest level character, there's nothing worse then being a new player to a LARP and everyone is an Elder and you're a n00b Neonate and have no way to catch up!

Wait...probably should not have admitted I LARP...

  4. Poison damage means little, unless an effect like this was added. The same goes for acid damage forcing all weapons in hand to be buried, frost damage causing a player to lose a turn, and so forth. This would really add some more strategy and difficulty to the game. Personally, I think the game is still too easy, no matter what some people say. Maybe add these to the more difficult levels.

Hmm that's actually not a bad idea for a Wild Card...

  5.

This is an awesome deal, thanks for sharing!

Are we able to get more than 2 deals?

The reason being I'm getting many similar cards from the opened chest and I have no luck for the legendary cards at all... =(

Use another email to create another Humble Bundle account, and use a different form of payment.

2 deals per account per form of payment.

Is that really ok with the Dev? I don't know that would be fine with them.

We're completely okay with you all donating to charity multiple times :D if you happen to get some mad loots in the process that's just a way to say thank you for making the world a better place.

  6. ;-)

Nah we Finnish Are very straight forward people!

Can confirm, I got friends out in Finland I only get to see them once a year for GDC but, its always a ton of fun when I see them!  I shipped a package with some costuming stuff I made for said Finnish friends recently, that was perhaps the weirdest shipping label I have ever printed, I found out about a lot of shortcuts for letters I'm not used to using.

  7. Hey guys!

Thanks for the feedback, I can't say a lot just due to normal industry hoodoo and voodoo but, you should notice improvements over the coming months with a lot of these issues and new features. Quest mode is kind of its own crazy animal and as we get more and more content and mechanics in it'll get better and better (We even go back and improve old quests if new mechanics and content can be put in them). So keep up the feedback! We may not always comment but we are reading!

  8. I agree the locations seem very stagnant, I think this is obsidian toying with random too much and trying to use an algorithm to keep things balanced when It should really be as easy as picking them at random.

I find the lack of haste at 40 disheartening.  Currently a party of 37's and the hopes of seeing haste at 40 has been my driving force.  So much for the carrot on the stick.

It's a bit less about it being random more trying to keep the boxes in line with story mode but, balancing it out because Quest mode functions differently.  I'll go check on the boxes, we're constantly tweaking quest mode in multiple ways so, this maybe another place it needs to be tweaked.

  9. Why not "give too much away"?

What is the point of hiding the system and numbers?

I don't really care about the treasure chests but a lot of people do.

One of the aspects of Pathfinder is the notion that it is an RPG, which is discovering new items, creatures, and experiences.  For some players figuring out the system is an experience they enjoy. I'd rather it be discovered and confirm it then give it away because then those players who prefer that experience can have their own personal 'win' ^^

In story mode, if any single character in your party has completed the scenario in normal, redoing that scenario in normal mode again will not grant you gold upon completion. this is true on heroic mode for any scenario but you can repeatedly complete legendary mode of the same scenario for 200 gold each time.

Also: Make sure you are connected, you can only gain gold while online ^^

Since last night or so I'd noticed more intermittent disconnect in middle of game. Had to end game to go main screen and there's immediate re login again. Server side or some code that does that ?

I'll check with programming, we had a load spike last night that may have caused that (load spikes are a mix blessing, it means A LOT of people are playing but, it also means the servers sometimes don't like it).

  12. And there seems not to be any limit, so salvaging is most recommended!

But it would be nice to know if:

    A) treasure cards have own pool in boon distribution (this would meen that common treasures dilute only treasure cards)

    B) treasure cards Are in the same pool of boons as normal cards (this would mean that treasure cards dilute the whole Gaming box)

    C) something completely different... (Who knows...)

I don't want to give TOO much away about how boons are distributed (and the drop system in general) but:

There is a limit to how many of each treasure appears in each location, the boons that appear in Quest Mode are pulled from a separate box from Story Mode. You will only see boon of a certain deck/tier in that deck or higher (IE: You will only see a deck 3 boon in decks 3-6).  Hopefully that helps ^^

Do you still get that individual XP if the adventure runs out of time? Or in the case of a forfeit? Reason I'm asking is I thought at one point I had guys who were super close to leveling up and I failed a couple missions in a row and it didn't seem like the bars were moving so I thought the game might be negating that XP since I failed in some way.

I'll look into it, depending on the level and number and type of banes defeated it maybe it was barely moving. You have to defeat, not evade, the banes to gain XP for them.

Hi Kaieta, my apologies if I read your comments in the wrong way but I have to say this is not what I am seeing in the game right now. I started my quest party with four new chars, and ran through the whole 30 turns quite a few times without winning any of the scenarios. I am very positive that I have defeated quite a a number of banes along the way, but the exp for each of the chars was always 0/1000. It did not move until I beat a quest for the first time.

So no, the system now is not rewarding individual exp for beating banes if the party does not beat the scenario.

    QA in investigating this currently

  14.

XP is awarded for defeating banes even if the party does not successfully complete the scenario.

An XP reward is given to completing the scenario successfully. Adjustments to bring larger party XP in line with smaller party XP are being made.

So you're just going to ignore the question about missing out on level rewards when dying?
This has been addressed in other threads as a bug and is being fixed.
Then why hasn't it been added to the known issues list?
    http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/86273-updated-known-issues-and-some-possible-fixes/

    - If a character dies in a scenario, they will not get rewards on a subsequent playthrough.

Potential Workaround: If a character dies, forfeit the scenario

Please check the official known issues thread regularly, it is updated as issues are confirmed.

Yea that's not even remotely the same issue as dying and not receiving a level up reward during the QUEST you just completed.

Please check you understand the actual question being asked.

That actually is the answer to that, 'Scenario' same as it is in Story Mode, we try to keep terminology consistent to reduce confusion. The level up reward issue is a bug that applies to all Scenarios, not just Quest mode. If you have confusion about terminology within the game, the rules section in the app is a great resource.
