Can't go east of Black Meadow?!?!?

where do you get the Maerwald quest? -
Im currently stuck. I need to go to the area east of Black Meadow however there is nothing there on the map. No other areas to click on. Basically im trying to get around that broken bridge but cant get very far east or west Thanks for the help Nastor
