Thank you vv221!!, indeed I found the solution on the GOG thread (I saw you were there ) In any case, it was in the permissions of the .config/unity3d/Obsidian Enterteninment folder .

Hi, I am having some trouble running the game on my Linux machine (Mint 17). I used the tarball from GOG. When I execute the game, it runs fine with the exception that I am unable to save any progress. In the main menu, the "Continue" and "Load Game" buttons are disable and show the message "Loading Save Game", and once in game when I try to save any progress nothing happens (the save picture is blank). If I run the game on root (which I shouldn't), I can save games normally (they are stored in /.local/share/PillarsOfEternity), but for some reason I get no sound at all. I figure this has something to do with permission. Ive tried chmod but nothing changes. Maybe someone here can give me hint. Thanks in advance.
