  1. The problem with secure whatever and license keys, activation items so many installs then we screw you over, is this. Most support organizations are ill-equped and ill-prepared to handle the issues. Especially if these security measures fail. Look if game companies want to go the way of Computer Asscioates more power to them. CA did all this anti-piracy stuff and ended up having products that failed to even operate due to the secuirty measures. And if a video game is that much work to me I will simply return it or request an RMA from the manufacturer or get rid of it entirely. Plus considering how much video games costs to me, its hardly the hassle of messing with their security codes in a proper use scenario or not. Some of what I mean is if the install fails for me once, its history. The other point to consider to is this, how well is are these security measure going to withstand time. I have games that are probably nearing 15 years old. Most of the companies that wrote them are no longer. So if EA has issue with it, so long EA games. Not to mention I expect the install work just as well as the day I bought it.
  2. Yeah about that, it remind me of my yard. I need to landscape it. On some date in the future it will get done. My wife keeps asking. So if TG releases something, I will go buy lottery tickets right away will consider it a lucky day. The problem with not setting dates even internally is no progress ever gets made and it will just linger a death that will drag out forever. Goals are made by setting a date and sometimes unrealistic dates produces results people are deadline driven. Or when I use to give students work assignments and gave no due date. So am I surprised no progress is made, nope. From what I can gather it is mostly college students that are working the project and attempt it during there spare time. So at the end it is really a best effort. Considering how long this project has dragged out, the likelyhood of success is very small. -Tordo
  3. THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS: I think Kavar deserved it least. All the masters deserved their fate. Let us assume a lightside character for this example. Darkside character wants revenege against the masters and the Sith. When Kreia slaughtered the masters the masters had become as the exile once was. A void and echo in the force and it is because they wanted to be that way. Kavar was a total yes man and when he got around has buddies in the Counsole agreed with them at least Vrook was true to himself. I wish as a lightside Jedi instead of Kreia slaughtering all of the masters I wish the exile could have done it. In either case of lightside/darkside the masters have become useless. Kreia's explanation of Atris is a good example of the masters as a group.
  4. Knowledge is a terrible things sometimes, would Kotor II have been better if the cut content was finished as a complete project. Kotor I had some removed content but the ending was completed. I think Kotor II is better in terms of game play charcters and involvement. I think having at least the ending on Malachor V finished out what have made it far better than Kotor I. Production work is part of games and removing and placing content is very pickey. I think I will stick with Kotor II is a better game by far inspite of the content removal. Both games rate with me as 2 of my most favorite games of all time. Seriously to think that if Kotor II had no cut content in terms of Malachor V, M4-78, the droid factory, the Atris and Kreia connection. OE was allowed to finish the project instead of being rushed out, their plans and story lines were the best of any of the Star Wars stories. I have my theories as to why this was I do not think it was deadline. I think we have half of the story of what was actually intended for KotorII.
