It's come to our attention that a piece of backer-created content has made it into Pillars of Eternity that was not vetted. Once it was brought to our attention, it followed the same vetting process as all of our other content. Prior to release, we worked with many of our backers to iterate on content they asked to be put into the game that didn't strike the right tone.

I have a question.  On the Kickstarter page it says that there were roughly 600 people who had that backer tier or higher.  Now, I don't know what the outcome of any post-Kickstarter attempts at adding to the funds were, but how does something like this come about?  I would have thought there was plenty of time to vet everything, so does this mean that there's MORE content that you didn't get a chance to vet?  If so will we be seeing other changes in content or is this the only one?  As a backer, I have to admit I'm pretty concerned about this now.

As a backer, if there is some reason your content needs to be changed, they will contact you. So stop worrying?

They replaced a bad joke that upset some people with a good joke that rhymes better. This is not the hill to die on and everyone should just move on.

"Needs to be changed"? You mean, if there is an internet lynchmob looking for something to get outraged about?

Glad to know that Obsidian is siding with people who scream 'kill all men', but who are upset by a poem.
