  1. Never saw this one before.

Just doing a reply (like the 15th or so time) of KotOR2 on xbox and ran across a bug that Ive never seen before and made me laugh.

I went a different route with character design this time and loaded up early on Int and non combat skills (repair, security, demolitions, pursuasion, computers, ect) so I could mostly solo game. So by doing this I had the skill to completely fix T3 by the end of Telos.

So fixed him up and got the Bastilla hologram and all that, great.

Then I noticed afterwards the hologram of Bastilla was standing at the exit ramp. You could target her but not speak to her (damn). What ever I figured and continued to play, suddenly Visas appears and starts to kick the bejesus outta me cause I dont have a high str/con/dex and limited combat skills.

Its all I could do to stay alive was keep pumping myself with med packs and getting in an attack every 3-5 rounds. Suddenly the hologram of Bastilla comes running into room and wipes the floor with Visas!!!!!!! I was like "what the hell????".

Then later when Red Eclipse attack AGAIN theres Bastilla running around killing them on the ship!

    LOL

No idea if someone else ever got this bug, I figure I only got it because I got to the end of T3s story so fast! Was really funny to see though!

To bad you cant interact with her! Would have been a nice easter egg type surprise for players in the game.

The same thing happened for me, only it was with the Carth hologram, but yeah, it is funny as hell.

  2. I don't think you could really consider Maul or Vader to be Sith Lords because they were only apprentices, not masters. Vader did kill his master, but not to take his place, but to stop the evil so he didn't becoem a Sith Master.

Of course Maul and Vader were both Sith Lords, the mere fact that they were apprentices means nothing. This is held true throughout the movies and games. There is only 1 Dark Lord of the Sith, but can be many Sith Lords. Case in point, KOTOR2 when you enter Freedon Nadds tomb, you fight several characters whos title above them says "Sith Lord". Anakin and Obi Wan on Grievous' ship rescuing Palpatine...Palpatine to Obi Wan : "Get help, you're no match for him, he's a Sith Lord(speaking of Dooku)"

  3. Well, in my opinion, for an RPG, the dialogue is what makes the game. The combat sequences are really only there because it is the only way to necessitate other story options. Losing a combat is meaningless, as you simply reload from the last save. This is also why I dont understand the whole "why arent the battles tougher" concept. In the end, there is not one hard battle in any game of this genre, since it IS impossible to lose a battle. I prefer having the battles just interesting enough to make you not loathe playing them, but in the end, its all about the story, and nothing but the story. And without dialogue, there is no story. A perfect example was Final Fantasy 10 (to use a past quote about Halo, it was linear and mind numbingly dull from a GAME standpoint). But Square understood that players of the series wanted a story, and what a fabulous story they made, at least in my opinion. And, the same can certainly be said of both BioWare and Obsidians jobs on the STORY of KOTOR(save for the ending of 2 of course). My only complaint about the dialogue, is they were short-sighted on some brilliant opportunities for great dialogue, and for the game to be heralded as an "epic" story, more is needed. I loved KOTOR and KOTOR 2. Neither was epic, though. And my hope is ...one day....to FINALLY get an epic game....someday.
