It must be a bug for sure. Same problem here, and same problem with blackguards 2. Gameplay crashed randomly in blackguards 2 always in the same stage, sometimes in the turn 2, sometimes in the turn 5, but always in the same stage. And after crash, graphics keep corrupted for other aplications until restart. This happened with my old gtx 460 and with my new 960, but the last patch for BG2 fixes the problem for me completely. So i think it will be fixed in the next patch.
