I've done a quick scan through the forums and can't see this issue anywhere else. I'm well into act 3 now and have not been able to get into the endless paths. I've upgraded (almost completely) the stronghold and still the bloody door in the cellar hasn't opened to let me into the second floor of the endless paths: I think I'm supposed to get in through the door that I've circled on the above screenshot - but it's locked no matter what I do or who I talk to. I read that after killing Maerwald you're supposed to talk to the steward and the endless paths will open up. I did that about 15 hours ago on this play through and still I'm not able to get in Am I even looking at the right door to get into the endless paths? If I am, why the hell is it still closed when I have an almost fully level 10 party at the end of act 3!?

I just had issues with this. I have actually finished the quest now, protecting Verzano and have Pallegina in my party now. I had it bug out a couple of times before it worked, I think it was down to hitting Verzano's guys with my aoe spells. I did the encounter and killed all of Dana's guys without hitting any of Verzano's guys and it went fine. Pallegina was waiting outside of the building for me

I just had the same issue. It happened to me after dying to a wisp in the dungeon under the hanging tree - my companion disappeared, white circle instead of his portrait. Strangely, I could see the green circle that's usually underneath him at the start of the area, I clicked it and tried to move it, but it then just flew off the bottom of the screen. I had a save from 5 minutes before, I still have the issue if I load that one - completely unable to change area now as the party isn't all there. Time to restart
