    I do not think that it has been Obsidian's intention to release a game with many bugs. In the end it is about fund's and people available to test and fix the issues.

    From my experience if a new update is available then gog will mark that game in your library with an "updated" tag. Just select the game in your library and you will se all the available patches listed there for you to download.

    I don't think that any game on Steam is DRM free. I got my copy from gog.com (DRM free, I think).

    I also get this error. I think that it is triggered when a tutorial text is about to be closed which triggers the looping sound effect to play.
