A friend adviced me to try Kult. Is it worth trying and is the system good? Maybe someone tryed it?

Hi everyone! I would like to ask for help. I am searching for some source books for my horror campaign. Not some monsters in the closet or wandering zombies. I am looking for something far more dark and twisted (smth similar to films Hellriser, Cell). For something about the inside demons of human, insanity, occult, etc. Also i am not very sure what system could suit that best- Call of Cthulhu or World of Darkness (new ed.) so i am waiting for your advice. Thanks!
