Three patches in, this is still bugged for my son’s save file. He can’t recruit Marius and doesn’t want to start over… I may start another game for him, but think this save file is just too corrupted to continue with.

I received communication from Obsidian Technical Support that they have reproduced the bug and will have a fix for the next patch (as of 9:00pm PST 18 February 25).

I heard from Obsidian technical support last night. They were able to reproduce the bug (with Marius) and are working on a fix for the next patch (as of 9:00pm PST 19 February 25).

The issue my son is having is that Marius is stuck talking to Culbertson, when clicking X (Series X Xbox) to talk, it just loops Culbertson insulting him. There is no way to progress the quest, recruit Marius, or finish the Main Quest. The Day 1 patch doesn’t seem to have resolved this. In a separate play through (mine), where I did the main quest line “in order,” Marius was fine to recruit. Needless to say, my son is very annoyed!

We are having this issue as well. My son can’t recruit Marius (he did a LOT of exploring before doing the main quest), and the day 1 patch did not address this issue.
