A little off topic, but does anyone think that a modern-day real world RPG could be made? and if so how fun it would be? Im not talking like a war rpg, but more of like a modern day deus ex, with more focus on character development? Like an assassin or mercenary, or maybe just an explorer. I dunno, I just think it would be an interesting concept, and to see what would replace magic and spells. tech levels maybe?

Some cool ideas that might be implementable in some rpgs might be: 1. Geomods If a door is lock, fireball the wall next to it and walk in. Ofcourse, this would draw a lot of negative attention in towns and around people, so the player would have to take some consideration in before doing so. This could be quite difficult though if the levels are huge and varied. 2. First Person Option If your checking out a room to try to find a key or secret passage, go into first person mode, and give the room a look around, would allow you to see places that normal overhead or 3rd person camera angles normally block from you.

cobblestones anyone? but i agree, this must be a significantly long, indepth RPG (my own preference NOT kotor2, ive had enough sw games for a bit, another planescape or a forgotten realms game would be cool)

Im beginning to really hope this isnt KOTOR2. Please dig to your roots obsidian and shock the world with a PC RPG similar to PS:T, FO, or BG.

My main suggestion: Take your time. Dont release a half assed game just to get one out faster. No one wants another Lionheart, a game with great potential, but then you realize "Hey, if i have a compainion, and move to another part of the city, and then save, ill have to start over!" Which is never good.

Thread Hijacking with your petty arguments = b7 on topic: I have no doubt that this game will be awesome. Obsidian has the potential to do great things with the people they have there, and I cant wait to see what new things they are going to implement in this game.
