Dear Obsidian Entertainment,
since members of your team have responded to posts in this forum on several occasions, I'm assuming you're reading these lines as well.
More than a month ago someone said that the sound and resolution patch only would be a couple of days off.
Since then we haven't heard anything from you.
This has caused a lot of frustration for many forum members, which in turn has led to a lot of negativity; a situation which may or may not have scared you off.
What you need to understand is, that people only come to post here because the game you have worked so hard on actually matters to them.
What we're giving you by being here, is a unique opportunity to have a two-way communication between you - the developer - and us - your potentially best customers.
You see, the people that care so much about a game that they can be bothered to find the developers own site to follow it's development and ask for news are obviously the ones who'll be most vocal about said game's exeptional quality, pushing sales and knowledge of that game through word of mouth and posts on other boards.
And for some inexplicable reason you're choosing to piss all that away.
For every day of continued silence you're alienating your most valuable group of customers.
Would it kill you to give us an update?
You don't even have to come out with a set date for the patch. A small note about it still being worked on, or that it have been canceled, would really help a lot.
Thanks for your time.
