I hated those puzzles. Never gave them any thought, just figured them out by trial and error or common sense. Math puzzles annoy those who were never good at math. The test at the Sith Temple was especialy tough when the "library" files were pretty much all deleted.

You know, I thought I had tried that apathy route and it still gave me DS points, Ill give it another try just to be sure. Thanks guys.

Telos Station Weapon Purchase

Ah, didnt think of that, thank you! -
Got stuck with to many bugs on the good side so I decided to try out that bad side. Im quick to assume the resaon Im not able to advance is becuase of a glitch these days. Im supposed to meet with some guys to but some weapons off of me so that I can kill the Czerka exchange guy for the lady in the Cantina. Each time I approach the door someone inside tells me to leave my companions behind and then come back. Im in solo mode and my companions are at the other end of the complex but they keep telling me to ditch them and come back. Is this yet another bug or am I supposed to leave them somewhere specific?

But will I regain them to the point I get that light force +3 again?
-
K, here is another glitch. On the planet with the Sith Burial Ground. You make your way through the dark cave Kreia warned you about and take on the challenges from your past. When the part comes where you have to choose to attack her or defend her with your friends, if I choose to defend her (the only path that seems to grant light side points) when the battle is done, she stays there and if you talk to her again, you have to go through the same battles over and over. Naturaly, all the dark side paths work no problem. As it stands right now, I have full light side points and at the top its says light points +3. If i go through the dark side option, Im naturaly no longer at full light side points with the +3. There are many oppurtunitys in the game to gain light side points you dont really need so if I go on and just accept I have walked the dark side for a bit, can I regain the light points with the +3 later down the road?

I honestly dont think it matters who you bring as long as you make sure you have T3M4 in your party. Get that kid into some good armor, up his blasters, get some implants in him and some re-usable shields, this droid is the only reason I made it past that temple at all. Even more so when you reach the end. If you make it to the end and cant finish it, ask me how I did it with this one, single droid after the rest of my party was killed.

Guess what? Crash at Dantooine
HeLLsFuRy replied to HeLLsFuRy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well, the game seems to have fixed itself. Kinda weird. When I was first having problems, Master Vook stayed in his cage and nothing new was happening at the goverment building. I found a save game right before I went into the Konrath caves for the first time. Right off the getgo, things were different. the crazy arm guy commented on the atmospheric sensers, Master Vrook hopped out of his cage on his own. When I left the caves, I had to figh some Mercs (very good ones btw) that sure were not their before and someone planted Mines all around the goverment building. Needless to say, the battle went ahead as it was supposed to and I left the planet. Thanks for the help Just Me! BTW-Your name seems familiar, you in CoFR? -

Heya Just Me! Thanks for the reply. I should not have spoken to the head Mercenary the ENTIRE time im on Dantooine? Or are you reffering to the Head of security in the goverment building? If so, I have a save immediatly prior to telling him Im ready to finalize the attack. Sure hope its the latter as one of the first people I spoke to on this planet was the leader of the Militia. Im somin pissed, just upgraded the hell out of my light saber and havent seen it in action yet! -

Why do people get differnt bugs?
HeLLsFuRy replied to HeLLsFuRy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ok, if that was meant to be a shot at me, please re-read my first post. thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You play games with your computer, right? So of course it affects the game what kind of computer you have. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but why? There are thousands of types of CD players in the world but if you were to listen to a track on a CD that has a squelch or some other type of imperfection in it, odds are all cd players sound would output the same way. BTW-The one part I wanted you to read in my first post wasnt what you quoted, it was the " IM NOT A PROGRAMMER" part. Seems to me the HOW you play the game explenation makes more sense than everyone has a differnt pc. -

Im not a programmer but from what I understand, all cds are cut from the same master. Now granted, different countries are all going to get a slightly different version but lets just assume its only the North American copies. Why do people, who should all have the same CD, wind up getting differnt bugs or errors than others, shouldnt everyone who has the same game get the exact same problems? Just a thought I had in bed last night as I stewed about the problem I just ran in to.

Ah, so it is a bug! Thank you. What is this KSE Editor and will this possibly allow me to continue after the mercs begin their attack on the goverment building? -

Can anyone at least tell me if the Jedi Master is supposed to say anything to me? -
Ive read a post similar to this one but not quite the same. I stare at nothing but a black screen with a cursor right after the movie scenes where the Milita begins its attack on the goverment building. I have completed most quests I think. Sounds like the fix mentioned in the other post may cause some of my quests to be reset which is kinda annoying. Is there any other possible way to work around this yet? Also, when you come across the Jedi Master in the Kanthar caves, I kill all the Mercs around him but when I go up to talk to him, he just stares blankly at me, no dialouge comes up, im guessin thats not quite right?

Oh no, I do want force powers, im just not that concerned with the computer selecting them for me, I can do that myself. If you were to make a recomendation for someone who is mean with a lightsaber AND has a good variety of force powers at your disposal, how would you do it? -

Ah, I pretty much consider the first time through a game like that as a run through. I enjoy it but the second time through is more fun. I dont think the character development is quite as tough as it is in NWN but if you wanted to create a really good bad guy (for my second run through) do you guys have any suggestion on how to develop him? Im not so concnerned with force powers and I pretty much know what I want but not so sure about the abilities and attributes. -

Oh I tottaly neglected them. Its my first time through the game and I let the computer do the leveling for me. If this game is anything like NWN thats not a good thing. When do they officialy become a Jedi? The only one in my party that has full light side points is the handmaiden but for whatever eason, she cant use a lightsaber. -
That temple on Exun (sp?) You select a group of three people not including your main character and you have to attack that temple in the jungle that is the burial site of that Sith Lord. You battle your way through the temple to until you finnaly get to the burial chamber and you have to fight a sith lord and 2 of his buddies. I went in as T3M4, Baur Dur and and the female bounty hunters. Those guys CUT right through every body within seconds! I finnaly figured out a way to beat them by accident. On like my 5th attempt, my last guy standing was T3M4 and all I did was laps around the room with all 3 of them chasing me only pausing to turn and fire off a few shots evey now and then. Couldnt believe it worked! That droid has more kills to his name than everyone else in my party I think. How did you guys do it?

Long babbling question about this game...
HeLLsFuRy replied to HeLLsFuRy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Awesome, thanks so much for the info! I just got off the planet I mentioned above. After the "incident" in the bar I went outside and was promptly attacked by a mob. I was supposed to by biding my time until the Jedi Master their contacts me again but it seems like everyone is saying we should leave, so I did but it dosent seem like ill be allowed back anytime soon and didnt really get to meet the Master. Did I screw that up or is it supposed to play out that way? Think im on Nar Shadar now. -
Long babbling question about this game...
HeLLsFuRy replied to HeLLsFuRy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
So when gaining influence with someone, is it possible to make that influence stronger? The first time I thought to look at her character sheet, he light side meter was maxed out like mine, the first time I lost influence with her, it was back to were it was originaly (moderatley light side) I guess what Im asking, if you gain influence 3 times with the same character, does that make the bond any stronger? And with that lightside/darkside meter, I understand it indicates how far to the light or dark side you are but does it effect your power at all? For someone who is on their first run through the game wanting to be a good guy, what party members would you suggest I have with me? -
Recently purchased this game as I have hear allot about it. My only other experience with RPG was NWN and the thing that amazes me most about this type of game is the way minor changes to attirubutes or abilites can make the same chracter far different when the game is over. Same thing with this game. When I first began playing KoTOR II, I figured I wanted to play through as a good guy and have played it as such. I have a feeling my first character isnt going to be all that great though. I began with just the default male character and went with all the recomended setting for attributes, skills and so on, even when leveling up. When playing the game, I try to do everthing a good guy would do/say and it seems to have worked for the most part. Im as far as I can get to the light side and have +3 Lightside strenght and Im only on the planet where you are tyring to get the Doctor off the hook for murdering that female captain. When you guys are choosing what people you want in your party, are you using the same people throughout the game? Ive been driving myself crazy trying to figure out who to bring and who to try to gain influence with. One thing that really confuses me, the blind girl. Her character sheet has her showing as mostly light side yet on the same planet I refered to above, when asking about the queen and valak, it seems she wants me to support the bad guy and do what I can to oust the queen, dosent strike me as someone who is floating on the light side of the Force. She also gives me a hard time doing good and I seem to lose influence with her each time I do. When im done with the light side, I want to play through as a bad guy but want to make sure I have the best possible character. So in doing so, to get to the darkside as quickly as possible, I just kill/act like an ass whenever I can? How would the change the outcome of the game over the lightside? When I play again as the bad guy, do you have any suggestions as to how I should set him up? What powers, abilities to select when leveling, what companions to use? Sorry for being so open ended with my questions, hopefully I can keep this post alive long enough to get as many as my questions answered as possible.
