The Regent

Vrook is just a practical jedi living in the 'real' world, not the traditional jedi world of hope. He understands that if redemption means wiping a dark jedi's mind and waiting for the light side to 'stick', then the Order is screwed. While Vandar might've had hope of 'saving' someone like Malak, Vrook realised that would take too much time and effort...considering the Sith's hold on a good chunk of the galaxy at the time. As for cutting the Exile's connection to the force, there was not much choice. It seems that the Exile's 'condition' would've reached the level of Nihilus' after enough time. Good enough reason for me.
