yes it's defintiely their job to keep the community posted, which LA is not doing. When surrounded by such crappy support at every corner, I don't think it's strange that people are happy for getting something along the lines of what they expect to get, namely feedback. And as with anything else i think people who actually do their job at least to some extent should not be treated with the same attitude as those who dont do jack. if we bitch at the ones doing their job a much and in the same rude way as at those who aren't doing their jobs, then why should they even bother? they're obviously not gonna get fired over it or else LA would have to be chucking all their q&a people. if there's positive feedback to doing what you should do chances are a lot higher you'll keep doing it than if there's no difference, imo. also i don't know that anyone at obsidian could give more than a "cryptic" statement at this point since the patch is sitting at LA, and i highly doubt obsidian has much of a say in or knowledge of La's timeline. In any case, the only reason i said something is because i'm sick of weeding through a million curse word and obnoxious posts esp. when people got what they were looking/asking for: a reply/update all be it a rather general one (which again is hardly to be helped as the only people who could say something more concrete at this point would be LA, and they're not talking).

oh and as for the thing with T3, i don't think the question "friend of yours" is meant as in "you knwo who that is because i dont" but as in "you know who that is? i didnt know you knew bastila" if that makes sense.... As in I think you know bastila but you want to know what connection T3 has to bastila. after all T3 hasn't ever told you that he ran around with Revan and bastila... Or it could be a blooper but i'm thinking it was just a statement which was unclear as to it's actual intention.

ok finally got past that spot without dark points... force wave didnt make any of the other jedi vanish, nor did the grenade i chucked at them and i ende dup dying again... but second time i redid it (sticking with my convictions as well) i force waved them then hit each of them once with my lightsaber they all poofed except bastila and malak. took bastila out and then had to heal up a bit and kill malak. No dark points FINALLY!! Also my force points did regenerate to 100% after malak vanished as was said earlier, they did not when i went through it getting dark points. Thanks to everyone for the help

aha then i think i know why i'm getting the dark points no matter what i do, i have been dying to the phantom jedi becaus ei didnt realize i could take them out with an area damage thing one time i did manage to take them out an focused on malak but that was the one time i used evil answers also explaining the dark points there. Gonna restart in a minute and see if i cna use force wave to knock the others out of it and beat up malak... hope it works this time

hmm odd when i first went in i did exactly what you two said about saying i regret having gone with them and i won't join them now etc. then i died horribly and had to reload went back in said the same stuff again and got dark side points.... Am I not supposed to be fighting the other jedi? or only Malak or something? The next time I went in i went for the neutral sounding answers and got dark points again. The third time I went for the all out evil answers and got dark points again so i'm kinda getting frustrated... Maybe I'll try it again from a somewhat earlier save and not the one right outside the cave... I know I can probably earn my light points back but I'm kind of anal about my allignment since I've been max light for about 2 planets now and it's really annoying to suddenly be knocked down off the pedestal even though you're not aware of saying anything remotely evil heh especially when you've been gaining light points that dont go anywhere due to being max light already for a while

in the cave on koriban (going in as a max light side character) no matter which options i pick in the dialogue with the malak vision i get a huge chunk of dark side points, not sure if this is intentional or not but it's damn annoying because i dont want to get dark side points i need my +3 con deifnitely a bug: i get to a smidgeon of life left when all the jedi with malak are attacking me and get a message about how the last blow didnt kill me but i feel as if part of me is missing or some such, then it tells me i died and need to load and the screen shows me falling down and dying over and over also: when i'm done with the cave nothing happens and i can't get out, have restarted the game from before the cave about 5 times now (tried different options with malak while i was at it but still get the dark points no matter what i say or do) and every time the area is cleared there's a pause like a conversation is supposed to start, but nothing happens. the door out is locked and when i run back to the start of the cave i can't get out that way either. oh and on onderon when fighitng to save the queen there are 2 doors, marked with green on the map to signify they're really doors with rooms behind them that are only accessible through said doors, which i can't target. it's like they're walls, but they're doors that lead somewhere where i can't go because i cant target the door to open it. apparantly nothing vital to the plot behind the doors since i saved the queen just fine anyway, but it's a little annoying too to see 2 rooms on your map you cant get to because it acts like the doors aren't there. also on onderon the slicer twilek guy doesn't actually talk his text flashes by in written form too fast to fully read and there's no voice acting to it. Have had similar problems in conversations between my party members especially with atton it'll flash to him text will appear for about half a second or less, i can't read it fast enough and he doesnt actually speak... stay tuned for the next installment

hey i have a question about the cave on koriban as a LS character, maxed LS actually ;p ... is there any way to get through the first vision (malak recruiting for the mandalorian war) WITHOUT getting DS points? I worked hard to get ultra light for the extra con points that i really really need and no matter what i chose to say or do in the first part of that cave I gain dark points (also this is the last planet i came to of the ones you can fly to after telos so i'm worried i can't earn my light points back). Also a lot of times it will say "the last blow didn't kill you, but.." and then it says i died and need to load a game. I'm pretty confused about that whole scenario and honestly if there's no way to go through it without losing LS points i'm not sure it's worth the bother... anyway if anyone knows what i'm supposed to be saying/doing so as not to be evil for no apparant reason or get killed when supposedly i didnt get killed, do let me know, or if you just always lose LS points there, let me know that too heh...

i'm so very very broken? hahahaha... sorry i know it's not funny but actually they should make it the subtitle for the game or something only time i've had my people disapear i could get them back from group menu if that's being kind enough to tell you it's broken i suppose you'll have to go find your nearest place of worship and pray for the patch to fix it... when it comes out

well i had a similar issue when i first started kotor2 wasn't even off peragus and i started getting the kind of zoning crashes you describe... i backed up my save game folder, then uninstalled and reinstalled the game. moved my saves back and loaded the one before the zone and it worked... No guarantee it'll help you, but you could try, long as you backup your save files you're not losing your played time.

when the hk baddies come to the base on the onderon moon after taking the shuttle to the polar region, the spoken dialogue is completely out of whack with the written dialogue, they start talking with a line that comes before what's written and then the written dialogue vanishes too fast to read it so the entire conversation is very confused. also i found a czerka employee at the base who asked me to lead him out. I agreed but he stopped following me in the next room, talked to him repeatedly (he gives you the option of saying stop following me or keep following me) using the keep following me choice, but he did not move so in the end i had to leave the place with him standing around in the middle of nowhere. Also i've started kotor2 on 3 seperate computers now (2 with nvidia cards one with an ati card all 3 pentium 4 and 1MB RAM, all 3 with the latest driver versions) and each time when i go to swoop race on telos i've had the problem i mentioned in an earlier post where my swoop bike floats along the ceiling unable to hit the acceleration pads, even so i beat the number 4 track record but the racing master does not notice this. in addition all 3 either stutter, knock me to desktop or compleely crash the game if i dont hit esc to skip the opening movie sequence. Laslty, after fixing the issue mentioned in my last post where my group members were gone after the b-4d4 scenario (i could get them back by selecting them off change group members screen) i had to repeatedly turn solo mode on and off for atton and kreia to finally start following me around again and once they did the game crashed when i zoned from the czerka office sector to the ithorian sector, which corrupted my 3 most recent save files. Just as a sidenote, i can live with almost all of these issues except the swoop bike thing. i want to be able to race

aha! that worked, guess it qualifies as me "not looking in the right spot" for them... silly me i was thinking they'd actually be somewhere like in the first kotor where you could always find em back on the ebon hawk hehe. Thanks much!

Not sure if this is a "bug" or just poor character management as it were... but my party members Kreia and Atton poof after I'm returned to being my jedi character from having been in solo mode as b-4d4 on telos for the crack czerka mainframe quest. The ithorian dismisses b-4d4 talks to me at length and then I'm solo... no explanation as to where my group is and I can't find them anywhere. NOw I'm beign attacked by far more baddies than I can handle solo, so I'm assuming that either it's a bug and kreia/attom poofed or someone neglected to add the "your friends have returned to <insert wherever here> to wait" line... Rather frustrating since my chances of progressing when i'm suddenly solo and about level 7 or 8 are rather slim.

it seems i've missplaced my group members... Am on Telos, was running in solo mode as b-4d4 to do the anti-czerka quest. come back get returned to myself rather than being b-4d4, but i'm still solo. No big deal i think to myself, kreia and atton are probably in our quarters... well, no they're not. Now there's about 5000 people attacking and I can't solo them and I can't find my group. Am I bugged? Or am I not looking for my groupmates in the right spot? any feedback would be welcome cause I dont really want to redo everything from the last save before b-4d4 if kreia and atton are just hiding around the next corner...

it's kind of funny, 3 months ago i replaced my nvidia card with an ati because the nvidia card was causing a lot of crash and freeze problems... now i'm swapping out the ati to put the old nvidia back in so i can play kotor 2 without the crash problems LOL... guess depending on what i want to do on a given day i have to first insert the appropriate vid card O.o I've also been having problems on the start movie, found if i quickly hit esc to skip it all is well and the other movies work ok though they stutter a bit. If I accidenatlly forget to skip the intro though I crash most times.... have managed to go through intro without crashing twice though... Well off i go to dig up my nvidia card ;p

not sure if this has already been listed by anyone and since it's 4 am for me and i've spent the last 5 hours fixing my computer after the last KotoR2 crash with reboot and freeze I'm too tired to read this whole thread. In any case I have a swoop racing bug or two. When I start my swoop races i keep ending up above the track, it's like i did that reverse boost thing to jump except i dont come back down and i didnt do the jump i just started my engines, so I cant hit any of the acceleration pads, needless to say this makes the race a bit pointless. Second amazingly enough i beat one of the track record times floating over the course without hitting any of the pads since i cant hit any obstacles either, but the race master doesnt acknowledge this...was only like secodn to last time of the time he lists so maybe thats why... but same thing happened on one of the 3 occassions i managed to run the race normally, actually beat the number 1 time but he says i didnt beat any track records... Also in the start sequence if i don't hit escape to bypass the video of the ebon hawk flying through the asteroid field the game crashes to desktop. I have the dreaded ATI card which is probably why... have an nvidia lying aournd here that i took out because it kept crashin a different game, maybe i'll swap it back in for playing KotoR2 LOL least til patch comes out. hmmm... oh my npc friends "explode" periodically... they turn into a giant spikey ball of pixels and i had to restart the game from just after you lose all your friends without any idea of what happened to them because the game crashed and corrupted all 10 of my save game files. The swoop racing issue is my main concern atm though I dont mind restarting but i loved swoop racing in the first game and I'm really good at it so i want to be able to do it in KotoR2 and i cant if i keep ending up above the track for no apparant reason.
