It seems to work on the first try .... I guess disregard this.

I beat the best racers lap time by several seconds and the guy still said I did not win. Do you have to beat the lap time in one try? Thanks in Advance.

I have an ATI x800 Pro and was having the exact same problem. I went to ati's website and downloaded the new drivers, which they released right around when the game came out. Since then I have had no problems.
