  1. So, your post is a reply to my post and yet does not address any of the issues in my post, except the first paragraph, which is purely a matter of opinion anyway.

    Well, maybe the reason is enlish is not my first, but my 4-th languahe indeed;

But it doesn't really matter - the point in my last sentence is about your last sentence - you told you are playng the game in way to gain or not to gain influence; and I told the galaxy your Exile have to save is in very big **** if it's saving depends of your gaining/not gaining influence with few insignificant ppl. Because it doesn't matter for the gameplay if you gained or not gained influence with them. The game is the same, the story is the same, the endings are the same.

That's why gaining influence has to have any significance of the actions of your Exile? I played the game twice - once naturaly, and once in twisted way, designed to gain asmuch influence as possible with all the characters. Of course, every possible group member did become a Jedi. And guess what - I forget about it once I unlock it. Because it didn't matter and I didn't care. That's why the influence didn't bring any replay value.

Well, about playng Fallout 2 with intelligence 1 and as female character - just try it.

  2. Handel, what exactly are you saying?

I found the influence factor really did affect my decision to replay the game. In fact, I've played the game four times as many times as I played the original game, just to see/receive the various treats...T3's holo-recording of Carth; HK-47's imitation of Bastila/Carth; Visas' force sight lesson, etc. Sure I can read about it on the forums, but it was still nice to discover for myself.

I guess it could be slightly annoying that you can't affect the way your character perceives your actions - but I understand that that would have taken a great deal more scripting/voice recording. I think it works pretty well as is, certainly more interesting than how communication with your party members works in other games.

As for turning characters to Jedi, I found that to be extremely useful. Especially when it came to Freedon Nadd's tomb on Dxun. Characters are just so much more powerful as Jedi.

Well, I don't think any game is worth replaying just to watch "T3's holo-recording of Carth"...

The game can be replayed if you really can have different choices and play different games. I don't think a different choices are "I will kill you without any need" and "I will save you and will give you my hard earned money"

I hope there are ppl wich like a real PRG games - like Fallout and Baldur's Games...

Did someone tryed to play Fallout 2 with a character with 1 inteligence (the min value)? This was really new game and was real fun... as well as playng as female character.

And I feel sorry for the Galaxy, if the actions of your here depends only on gaining/not gaining influnces with few insignificant ppls.

  3. Obviously it was intended a a replay bonus material, but it failed. Actually the only influence gains is when you get a stats upgrades.

Of course, many ppl will tell how you can make jedi from a group members... Who cares? They really don't matter, because you never had to use their jedi skills.

Unfortunatelly exactly the stats increase influence is bugged - you get most importan stat increase from HK-47. And he tolds you at least 3 times he likes very much your action, but no influence increase follows...

  4. I think many ppl on this topc didn't even bother to read what the Mandalore says in the cutscene.

They do not want to help the Exile, they do not to fight the Sith or help the Telos and such...

They want just one simple thing - to destroy the ship (not the Sith Lord) which participated in M5 battle. Why? Even they want a revenge - no one revenges on the ship, because not a ship, but his crew and his captain were among the many other wich won the battle.

If a killer shots a victim, no one sentences to death the gun, but the killer itself...

  5. "Why the hell they risked their life just to destroy the ship?.. "

also mandalorians seeks honor in battle, expecially against strong enemies, so this battle is a good place to gain such honor and respect.

Actually a ship is not "a strong enemy". Everyone can blowup a ship, if there are no defenders left. They didn't want to fight the Sith (Exile kills the Sith Lord) - they wanted to blowup the ship from the battle at M5 and specially checked his ID numbers to be sure it is the same ship.

  6. The reason is very simple. When they were the followers of Exar Kun they were just slaves to be used. They fear that if the Republic fall to the Sith, they would be enslaved yet again. So, in dealing a blow to the Sith by killing Nihilis they work for them selves, and not really for the Republic or the Exile. The Raveger attack just happened to coincide...

Actually they prefer to help THE SITH against the Republic (hint - Onderon).

About Ravager - no, they didn't not went there to kill Nihilius, they went here specially to destroy Ravager, because it was at M5 (as seen in the cutscene from the very begining of the battle). And they didn't not try to kill Nihilius - Nihilius was invincible before Visa cutting his bonds with the force. Either - you cannot blow the ship before the Exile kills Nihilius.

  7. Did a little thinking about Ravager and the Mandalorean... Why the hell they risked their life just to destroy the ship? Of course, I know the ship was in the battle of Malakor V, where the Mandalorean were defeated, but what the poor ship has in common with their defeat? It was Revan and Malak, which defeated them, and not the ship itself (even if this was the Revan's ship). And besides, I doubt a single ship was capable to defeat them... So what? Being not able to get even with Revan, they started to hunt and destroy the ships, whic participated in the battle? Or what? Looks like another big hole in the story :geek:

  8. Just another unfinished story line... like many more... like the HK-47 unable to unlock the nevicomputer because it/he doen't know with wich voice it was locked. Like there are 800,000 ppl on the ship, but not just couple of them... and like no one knows the great secret there was only Kreia on the ship when the navicomputer was voice-locked...

  9. You need to talk to T3-M4 after you blow up G0T0's ship.  He tells you about his little adventure into Vogga's warehouse, and how he uncovered the droid that was transmitting Vogga's ship signatures to G0T0 (which is how G0T0 was always able to intercept Vogga's ships).

THEN you go talk to Vogga, and he agrees to supply fuel to Telos.  You don't need to talk to Grenn at all.

I had this problem until I happened to talk to T3-M4, so I figured it out on dumb luck.

Even after all that in the battle for Telos all are proceeding to tell you "Without fuel Telos have no chance"

And soemthing more - after you get enough influence with GOTO, it/he explains you he highjacked Hutta freighters, because if Hutta started to supply fuel to Telos, the Republic will break down in a month becasue of the price it has to pay for the fuel...

I am starting to think KOTOR 2 has all the chance to win the "Stupidiest story" reward for the millenium... sigh...

  10. If you are looking for easy money with which to buy items, all you need to do is talk to the Handmaiden.  Choose the dialogue option where she teaches you Enchani fighting.  This is done without armor, etc.  When finished, put your armor on, then talk to her.  One of the options is to ask her to put clothes on.  She argues about the necessity (geez--why can't I find someone with that attitude?) and chose the statement that clothes restrict movement, making one a better fighter, etc.  She will then put on the Handmaiden's robe.  Go to her inventory, take the robe off her so she is armorless again, then talk to her and repeat the dialogue to put clothes on.  You can repeat this infinite times.  The robes can be sold for about 2000 credits a piece or alternately broken down at the work station for about 200 parts depending on your repair skill rank (20).  If you've already progressed with the Handmaiden in the story, just take off her armor in inventory and then when talking to her select the dialogue option that asks her to put clothes on.  This is the EASIEST way to make money in KOTOR2 that I've found.

    Hammer.

Yes, this is stupid bug from the dev. Using it is equal to enabling the console and typing yourself $$$ zillions of credits...

  11. Actually the "giant rug" is more precious then Mira. It (the rug) can upgrade you constitution stats and Mira is nothing more then 1 from 4 available range weapons characters.

You don't have to use Mira as a ranged character, she can be turned to Jedi (quite good actually,

if you level her up afterwards).

Plus, it is more satisfying to turn the little miss I-dont-kill-my-bounties into Dark Jedi o:)

Why the hell you need more Jedi? Even the Exile alone makes one more Jedi then needed. In this game unlike the first KOTOR practicaly no enemy uses force powers except some sh*tty trials from Atris and Kreia. My HK-47 with his upgraded heavy repeating blaster beats 2 dark Jedi, which is ridiculous. Actually in this game you don't need a party at all. I usually take only Bau-bau in my party, strip him from every armor and weapon and equip only skill boosters, and give him the command to stay still and not to mess in the battle. Meanwhile the Exile yawning clears room after room with 1000's of stupid enemies. I took specially measures to make all the possible characters Jedi and never had to use any of their powers. And this is on "difficult"... In the first Kotor 3-4 Dark Jedi couple of times succeeded to kill my parti, if I wasn't careful (but this ended when I equiped Revan with electro-immunity belt)

PS. But Mira have a great ass :">

  12. I know you have to be grey or light sided on Nar Shaddaa in order to get Mira, my question is does anybody know if there is a specific point you can go DS on Nar Shaddaa and still get Mira?  I want to be a DS character but don't want a giant rug following me around going "rooooowwwrrrr" all the time.  So is there a point in which the game says "you will get Mira" and can start working on the DS points while still on Nar Shaddaa?

Actually the "giant rug" is more precious then Mira. It (the rug) can upgrade you constitution stats and Mira is nothing more then 1 from 4 available range weapons characters.

  13. I used that Red Sun option in my current playthough, DS, and I figured making a deal with slavers would be worth DS points, but it didn't give me any.  I've gotten 1500 and 1600 credits out of them so far, and still no DS points for dealing with slavers.

Of course it seems like there's very little worth buying in kotor2.  It's too bad there's not a spot like Yavin where you can get really good stuff, then all these big money grabs would be more beneficial.

You can buy thingies and demolish them for components. Then Bau-Bau can make superb gadgets for the upgrades.

Also the guy on Telos gives you the best prices for your stuff.
