  1. Are you so sure about that? Some guy over at LucasArts' forums sent an email to them about the patch; here's the reply: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, We don't know when the developers will be finished. They are working hard to fix many issues with the game. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow wow wow... ! Something's itching me... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, We don't know when the developers will be finished. They are working hard to fix many issues with the game. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We live in a world filled with lies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I personally heard a few times that obsidian has finished the patch and now lucasarts just testing it, I believe them and i'm angry of lucasarts and not on obsidian (I posted on their forum too), anyway we are not yelling at anyone, just pissed off and disappointed.
  2. why the hell do you have to open a new thread only to show us your own impatience? Do us a favor and please post in existing threads, dammit <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Because i'm pissed off to the sky. I paid good money for this game and get nothing for it, like I just burned it. P.S now I can't even start a new game here, lucasarts(!), come on already.
  3. I think lucasarts forgot about us, where the hell is the damn patch already?
  4. Um, Odds are as long as I have the graphics I can do it in Java in the span of a couple Hours. Tic Tac Toe is not exactly something all that complicated... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So could I, even if I had to make the graphics. BUT, try doing it with a 30 hour long game, in 3D, with thousands of possible combinations for hundreds of different locations, and it could take months or a year or two, if they debug it right. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are taking this programming thing too seriously, it is not so hard as you think to create a game (it's hard but not SOOO hard). For example - tic-tac-toe doesn't take forever like you think it is, it is much simpler, just know some math thing and some programming and it is a lot easier than you think, and trust me, I know some programming. Anyway the patch is finished now and just 'testing'.
  5. In my personal opinion KOTOR II or course, i can't continue playing and they are delaying with this damn patch, come on already, it's a shame to miss such a good games because of bugs, haven't you learned anything from KOTOR I?
  6. I was mainly talking about my problem which can be fixed but appreantly won't. As I discovered going thorough this forum is that my bug (1/3 loading bug) is caused by some kind of an incompatible hardware or something, anyway the suggested way to fix it doesn't work at my computer, so they can make the patch make the game avoid this incompitability and by doing so, they will fix the problem. I gave here one example, but I can give more, they should do more, to save our save games.
  7. Written by one of Obsidian Developers. So basicly anyone who is experiencing a loading problem (like me) will not be able to fix it, damn! and there is more, if you are in a buggy area in your save game and you can't advance and you have a save game only in this place, then you too will have to start things all over again, really great! I hope that someday LucasArts and Obsidian will realize that they should not be in a rush to release the game, otherwise it will be suck, a shame they didn't realize it from KOTOR I. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Loading problems will be fixed as long as you start a new game.... I don't think that will be a problem for most people if they know they can play without (or at least with less) bugs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know there are a lot of people who are experiencing troubles with their saved games and with the area they are in, and there are a lot of people (like me) who don't want to save all the time and just using quicks. So of course I realize it will fix this bug IF I start a new game, but i'm nearly at the end of KOTOR II, I don't want to start a new game, is that so much to ask?

  9. While you are right that both games were released when they were not so finished, the fact that they have like 2 weeks + the patch is finished and now just testing they could just release it so people can continue to play the game, and also continue to check and develope new patches, the maximum harm it can do is that your problem won't be solved and that you will wait for the next patch. What I wrote them is not such of an angry letter, it is just expressing my 'desperation' (i.e I paid good money for it and now I can't play it), I think they should know that, not in an angry way, in a disappointed way.
  10. That is correct although all of us are a little bit pissed off about it, and it is possible to say to them 'we paid good money for it' or something like that, make them feel blame or something, anyway it's true that the one reading the email may not be involved in the developing, i just said that if a lot of emails will get to them, he might show it to someone who does, I mean... lucasarts is one of the best companys I know and I don't think they will ignore us. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh my god... if there was a way to show actual, hearty laughter in rubbishy txt! Didn't the irony punch you quite hard in the face even as you wrote that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What is ironic about that?

  12. Haha ya they should do that since that's what they basically did with the game itself. We did their beta testing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I send them an angry E-mail from a few computers (from a few different email domains), saying that they should release a temporary patch or something because a lot of people can't play the game and I told them that they don't care from us anymore after we paid good money and now they don't care. I think you people should email them too, the more emails they get the more rush there will be at LucasArts
  13. Well... I remember a lot of bugs in KOTOR I, but I was still able to play it and the patch was released pretty fast, anyway to almost everyone it was playable, no as KOTOR II, which is not playable to a LOT of people who are very pissed off for paying there money and can't play it and see lucasarts doesn't really care either. Conclusion: DON'T BUY THE GAME OR IF YOU HAVE THE GAME DON'T PLAY IT YET BECAUSE OF THE MANY BUGS IT HOLDS, WAIT FOR A PATCH FIRST! Don't be fools like me get to the last planet and experience a bug which you can't avoid of and you can't continue in the game because of it, so now I can't play, annoying lucasarts.
  14. Since both games were most buggy I thought I should do a poll to see what do you think, which game from the two in the series has more bugs. Please answer the poll of what game was more buggy before you downloaded the patch (or a patch), i.e - just when you got the game.
  15. EDITED - Written by one of Obsidian Developers. He also said that the release time of the patch is unknown. So basicly anyone who is experiencing a loading problem (like me) will not be able to fix it, damn! and there is more, if you are in a buggy area in your save game and you can't advance and you have a save game only in this place, then you too will have to start things all over again, really great! 16. It is being used to put your topic on top again so people can see it if it pushed to the second page or something. Please try and help me, i've been wasting the whole last two days on it and still nothing.
  17. Have you tried completely uninstalling your CD burning program? The crash bug is a tricky one and no one's found a surefire fix yet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, doesn't work, any other idea, anyone?
  18. I tried my save over a friend and it didn't work, I just want to make the game work, if you have someway people, please. Do you think that the up-coming patch will allow me to play this save again?
  19. I'm experiencing the 1/3 bug, btw I have an ATI graphic card and catalist drivers. Although there is no dll file like the one mentioned in my system32 folder and eventhough I saw some people saying that they found the file in their cd burner folder, so did I, and although I deleted it, nothing happends and the bug still occurs, any idea?
  20. Yeah but I did two saves when I was in the cave in Korriban and there is an autosave from when I exited the academy, both of the saves (regular and quick) have the 1/3 bug problem and for the autosave - it just loading, finish the loading and crashes into desktop and remains with the game's brightness, so a save before that is two planets ago or rather two days ago, in nar shadda. So loading from there will be like starting the game all over again and I don't want that because if you know what is gonna happen then it isn't fun anymore, and you don't want to play more (atleast not me). So if someone had this problem and didn't find the file, although fixed the problem, please write here how you did it, also if someone can help me with my autosave problem, please do.
