In case anyone is interested, i have completly resolved my problems of instability and freeze on saves just removing a memory stick from a dual channel nforce2 setup (1gb). Any other remedies do not solve the problem. Only kotor2 was affected and my memory is 100% stable and defect free, so even if you don't have problems with other games it's worth trying
