I just saw the thread with news of Scott/Tarna. I'm so sad, I always thought there would be time for us to reconnect and catch up again. I had been thinking of emailing him for the last year.

I'm so sorry to read of Scott/Tarna's passing. It was only a few days ago that I was wondering how he was and what he was up to. We became good friends over at the BIS boards and then through email and other forums. To my regret, we lost touch a couple of years ago. He was a kind, gentle person and the world is richer for having had him in it. I still have a beautiful email he sent me when I was 17, and going through a 'hating my parents' stage. I treasure it for its proven wisdom. He was right about how I would start to love them again and about lots of other things. RIP Scott.

I'm not a massive FB fan either, don't even use my full name on there. I had a friend who got fired from her job recently for friending a client on Facebook. That said, it's nice to catch up with old BISers and Lairites on there!
