  1. From the documentation of Unity, there are only 2 modes of relevance on MacOS: capture the display: it is not possible to switch to other applications but the screen resolution can be set to whatever the games want fullscreen window: Unity creates a window which covers the whole screen and it is possible to switch to other apps but the resolution is necessarily the desktop resolution I guess PoE captures the display. It would be nice to have the other option. That would mean changing the desktop resolution for those players who feel inclined to play at smaller resolution than their desktop, which could mean messing up with the position ad size of the windows of the other apps. Indeed some games seem to be able to restore the desktop as it was before a resolution change but others don't. If PoE were to implement fullscreen window without restoration of the desktop, I would never use that option really!
  2. The very fact that our reputation would decrease after killing somebody in the depth of the woods without any witness was stupid to start with. Flaming fists being a great example as well.
  3. Thanks @sensuki. That sounds really great. Looking forward to it.
  4. It's only mode where combat are slowed down so that players has easier time to control their characters if they don't want to relay on pause and command queues so much. But then what will happens when somebody speaks while in slow motion combat? Slowmo animations run the risk of being a tad ridiculous too, don't they? But well, it should be easy to implement, and if it pleases some players, good for them. Diversity is good when it does not spread development resources thin.
  5. The requirement to go out of sight before going to stealth again in BG was sensible, and classic ninja mythos. I am not saying I am disappointed PoE got rid of that: I would not like it to feel like BG3! But that does not mean BG was wrong here.
  6. I apologize in advance if that has already been discussed but I could not find any post discussing that subject. Warrior AoE attacks could make fighters more interesting at high level, versus spell casters. For example, DA:O two-handed fighters had a circular sweep that damages and knocks down enemies all around: AoE with crowd control, i.e. squarely in spell caster business. That made them more worth to pick. DA:O Awakening attempted to move further in that direction but most of the new AoE attacks were cheesy (worse one being a rain of arrows), badly balanced and even missing animations. Still, this line of thought was interesting and a few AoE melee attacks changed the way I thought about combat (e.g. the warrior plowing deep through enemy line, swinging left and right). With a better implementation, It could be a fine idea imho. Any thoughts? Has it been considered for PoE?
  7. I haven't been able to find details about the "Slow Mode". Could somebody be so kind as to elaborate? Is it a mere slow motion or is there a twist to it?
  8. Interesting answers! The problem as I see it is that there will always be an easy way to lower reputation beside any story-related role-playing, by being a complete jerk, e.g. killing innocent people (the beauty of the NPC mod was to offer a more tasteful alternative). Increasing reputation without doing picking do-good quests was on the contrary impossible in BG without the temple donations. But as I understand several of your comments, PE will have different groups of people have a different opinion of our party, so any given performed quest could increase our reputation in some part of the world and lower it elsewhere. If that is well implemented, then I agree that temple donations is not that important. Not as a global mechanism a least. But it could be part of local story-telling as two of you mentioned indeed. Thanks!
  9. That the characters actions and behaviour with respect to people influences reputation is great. But will there be a way to offset what the player may thought of as mistakes? Donations to temples come to mind, or paying bards to sing our character legends? The former is of course vanilla BG while the latter is from the BG NOC Mod.
  10. So basically the tactic in BG that consists in stealth, then backstab, then run away behind an obstacle and stealth again, then rinse and repeat, won't be possible?
