Suggestion: Login Feedback

Parody

Question

Every time I launch the game and press Continue it tells me I'm not logged in.  I hit Login.  The dialog goes away and nothing changes.  If I hit Continue again it'll ask the same question, I can hit Login again.  Eventually I'll get multiple dialogs telling me it succeeded or failed.

Feedback about the login process is scarce and it'd be nice if there was more, assuming your networking library allows.  Things like:

A more clear indication that you aren't logged in.  A green bar labeled "Link Social Gaming Network" (or rarely "PlayFab") isn't very indicative that you aren't.  Why not "Not Logged In"?  Why green for not being logged in?  If it's a button, why not make it look like the other buttons while it's a button?

Better feedback about the login process.  There's nothing I can see on the title screen that tells me it's trying to log in.  Even if they normally automatically log in in the background, I'm used to apps using a modal once you explicitly tell them to log in to something.  If you're not going to do that, perhaps change the green bar box to "Logging in to (whatever)" and a different color, (indeterminate) progress bar, or something similar to show it's trying?

Prevent overlapping login attempts.  Assuming you're not going to show a modal when the user explicitly tells the program to log in, a dialog saying something like "Attempting to log in to (whatever).  Start without waiting?" when the user hits the button again might be useful.

They're little things, but with the emphasis on being logged in it'd be nice to better support the process.

I've been playing on a Nexus 5 with Android 6.0.1 and solid network connections (WiFi or LTE), but network delays apply to all platforms.

Hope this helps.
