For some reason, the game thinks that Eder used the Engwithan Machine in the first game, not my PC. I suspect Eothas gave the bonus to the first person in party order.

 

My PC does not have this bonus, just Eder.

 

Playing in the current patch beta as of that screenshot (which was a few hours ago from the time of this edit).

Maybe, it means that Eder soul was strengthened because of your choice, since he is from Dyrwood?
